Born in Tokyo, Masashi Shibano began his career in food and beverage service at the age of 19 at the Ikebukuro Prince Hotel’s “Trianon.” He went on to refine his craft at “Bar Gentle” in Ikebukuro and spent seventeen and a half years at The Westin Tokyo, where he served as General Manager overseeing three bar and lounge venues.
In 2017, he received both the Best Fan Award and the Grand Prize at a cocktail competition featuring the Tokyo Governor’s Cup. He now brings his expertise to Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island, Okinawa, creating cocktails that highlight Okinawa’s local ingredients and offering guests a pleasant time at the bar.
