Notice of Temporary Suspension of Hotel Operation (Update February 17)
February 17, 2021

Following previous notices and out of an abundance of caution and care for our guests and colleagues, Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono has proactively decided to suspend its hotel operations from February 11 until further notice.

Should you require any assistance with future reservations, please contact your nearest Hyatt Global Contact Center. For bookings made via online travel agents or other third parties, guests may contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for further assistance.

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is committed to caring for guests and colleagues and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness. The hotel has had in place appropriate measures in response to COVID-19. We continue to follow guidelines and protocols recommended by international and local authorities, in an effort to ensure our guests and colleagues remain in a healthy and safe environment.

We express our sincere apologies for the concern and for any inconvenience we may cause to our guests, resident owners and related parties due to this temporary closure.

Notice of Temporary Suspension of Hotel Operation
February 11, 2021

Following our notice dated February 10, 2021, the local healthcare center confirmed that two of our colleagues in total have unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19.  

Out of an abundance of caution and care for our guests and colleagues, we have proactively decided to suspend operations at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono until further notice. As a precautionary measure, we are engaging a professional medical facility to conduct COVID-19 testing for all colleagues before resumption of operations.

During this time, following instructions from the local Healthcare Center, we will complete deep cleaning and disinfection of all guestrooms and areas in the hotel including the staff canteen and offices.

However, we will have selected colleagues who have completed COVID-19 tests, continue to assist our residential owners who may choose to stay during this period. 

Guests with questions regarding their reservation at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono are encouraged to contact the hotel or the Hyatt Global Contact Center. For bookings made via online travel agents or other third parties, guests may contact their booking provider for information on their policies and for further assistance.

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is committed to caring for our guests and colleagues and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness. The hotel has had in place appropriate measures in response to COVID-19. These measures include mandatory daily temperature checks for all incoming guests, colleagues and contractors. Frequently touched areas such as public washrooms, elevator panels, escalator handrails, lobby door handles, guestroom doorknobs are sterilized on an hourly basis, and multiple hand sanitizer stations have been placed at public areas throughout the hotel. All hotel staff members are required to wear facemasks while working, and we also ask our guests to wear face masks in the hotel’s public areas.

We remain vigilant in monitoring for symptoms among colleagues and guests, and follow guidelines and protocols recommended by international and local authorities, in an effort to ensure our guests and colleagues remain in a healthy and safe environment.

Notice of colleagues testing positive for COVID-19 (Update February 10)
February 10, 2021

Following our notice dated February 9, 2021, on February 10, 2021, we were informed that one additional colleague has unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19 through an Antigen test. The local Health Authority is conducting a PCR test on this colleague to confirm the result. The colleague from this latest confirmed case was last on duty on February 9 and was self-quarantined from February 10, 2021.

Colleagues who are considered close contacts are in self-quarantine and will take a PCR test at the local Healthcare Center. All our colleagues have been taking preventative measures such as always wearing a facemask as well as regularly using the appropriate disinfectants on hotel premises.

Notice of a colleague testing positive for COVID-19 
February 9, 2021

On February 9, 2021, we were informed that one of our colleagues unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. The concerned colleague’s last day on duty was on January 15, 2021, and their last visit to the hotel premises was on February 8, 2021. The colleague is currently undergoing isolation and his health and wellbeing is closely monitored under the instruction of the local health authority. We are providing appropriate assistance and support.

Notice of Temporary Limiting Operations (Update January 18)

At Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues is always our top priority. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and local government’s directives, the hotel will be temporarily limiting several restaurant and wellness operations from January 18, 2021 until further notice.
