Hotel Policies
Accepted Methods of Payment
Park Hyatt Guangzhou accepts the following methods of payment: Chinese Yuan, both cash and digital (e-CNY), Alipay, WeChat Pay, as well as credit and debit cards issued by China Union Pay, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, JCB and Diners.
Reservation Guarantee Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou requires that all reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card unless accommodation charges are prepaid or there is a direct billing arrangement in place with a third party.
Reservation Changes Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou prices room rates dynamically. In the event of any change to the reservation—such as arrival or departure dates, length of stay, number of guests, number of rooms or room category—guests should be aware that the current pricing may differ from the previously confirmed rate.
Should guests opt for a higher room category or avail of services not included in the room rate, additional charges may apply. Extensions and shortening of stays will be charged based on current pricing that may differ from the previously confirmed rates. Reservations at Park Hyatt Guangzhou are not transferable. No name change is allowed. The primary guest is required to stay overnight for the entire length of stay.
Reservation Cancellation Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou’s cancellation terms vary by rate plan and date of stay, as well as other factors. The right to cancel a reservation and applicable cancellation terms are set out in the terms and conditions applicable to each specific rate plan, which are shown in the reservation confirmation.
No-Show Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou’s no-show terms vary by rate plan and date of stay, as well as other factors. No-show terms are set out in the terms and conditions applicable to each specific rate plan, which are shown in the reservation confirmation. No-show rooms are held until noon (12 p.m.) the next day and then released.
Early Departure Policy
Guests are required to reconfirm their departure date at check-in by signing the registration form. If a guest changes their departure date to an earlier date after completing the check-in process, the hotel will levy an early departure fee equivalent to 50% of the original room rate for all remaining unused nights, except for nonrefundable rate plans, for which the early checkout fee will be equivalent to 100% of the original room rate for all remaining unused nights. Unused nights resulting from an early departure will not qualify as eligible nights in the World of Hyatt program.
Deposit Policy
At check-in, Park Hyatt Guangzhou collects a deposit or credit card hold equal to the total room rate for the entire stay unless the room rate is pre-paid or there is a direct billing arrangement in place with a third party, plus CNY 1,000 per room, per night to provide guests with signing privileges during their stay. This deposit can be conveniently made using any of the accepted payment methods mentioned above. Any unused portion of the deposit or credit card hold will be returned upon checkout.
Room Availability Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou makes rooms available for check-in at 3 p.m. and requests that guests vacate their room no later than noon (12 p.m.) on the day of departure. Early arrival or late departure may incur fees and is subject to availability and occupancy levels. If arriving before 3 p.m., guests are advised to consider booking the preceding day for early room access.
Service Charge Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou levies a taxable service charge of 10% on all transactions. In addition, value-added tax at a rate of 6% will be collected. Prices at Park Hyatt Guangzhou’s dining venues include this service charge and value-added tax. Service charge revenues are used to cover a portion of costs associated with our dedicated hotel colleagues.
Minimum Age Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou requires that guests must be at least 16 years of age to check in. Minors between the age of 16 and 18 years must comply with government regulations aimed at protecting minors, commonly known as the “five musts.”
Registration Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou requires that all occupants provide valid government-issued travel documents for age and identity verification to register at check-in. Government-operated facial recognition systems are in place, and guests are required to have a photo taken at registration.
Residents of Chinese Mainland are required to present their Identification Card and Chinese Passport or use the Alipay digital registration. Driver’s licenses are not accepted. Residents of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions are required to present their Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Mainland Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents. Residents of Taiwan are required to present their Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or Mainland Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents. Foreign citizens are required to present their Passport or Foreign Permanent Resident Identification Card.
Visitor Policy
Visitors to guest rooms between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. must register at the front desk with a government-issued identification document as outlined in the hotel’s registration policy. During nighttime hours, visitors will be subject to a security inspection when accessing guest floor lifts, and unregistered visitors will be refused access to guestroom floors. Congregations in guest rooms beyond the maximum capacity are both unsafe and illegal.
Children Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou welcomes children of all ages. However, children under the age of 16 years must be supervised by an adult guardian at all times. Children should not be left unattended anywhere at the hotel, including in guest rooms.
Children under the age of 18 years are not permitted to access The Roof Bar, and children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to undergo spa treatments or access the fitness center.
Children under the age of 12 years stay free in existing bedding, and Park Hyatt Guangzhou provides on request various amenities tailored to children to ensure a family-friendly experience. For younger children, a limited number of cribs are available for guests to use during their stay. These are provided with compliments on a first-come, first-served basis.
Menus specifically designed to cater to the needs of children are available at all dining venues. Children aged 12 years and under enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast when registered and accompanied by an adult guardian (must be staying on a breakfast-inclusive rate plan). Nonregistered children under the age of 6 years enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Nonregistered children between the ages of 6 and 12 years enjoy a 50% discount on buffet breakfast.
During other meal periods, up to one child under the age of 6 years can dine and drink for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. Additional children under the age of 6 years and children between the ages of 6 and 12 years enjoy a 50% discount on nonalcoholic beverages and food ordered from regular menus except the children’s menus.
Rollaway Bed Policy
A limited number of rollaway beds are available for guests to use during their stay. These are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and will incur a fee of CNY 350 net per night.
Pet Policy
With the exception of guide dogs, Park Hyatt Guangzhou does not allow guests to bring pets into any hotel area. Guide dogs must remain on a leash or in a harness and under the owner’s control at all times.
Smoking Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou does not permit smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke in guest rooms and indoor public areas. Designated smoking areas are available near the ground floor entrance and, weather permitting, in the outdoor area of The Roof Bar. Park Hyatt Guangzhou charges a cleaning fee of CNY 2,000 for each violation of smoking in a nonsmoking area.
Noise Policy
Congregating in corridors, lift lobbies or public areas where noise will disturb others is not permitted at Park Hyatt Guangzhou. Parties in guest rooms are prohibited, and guests are encouraged to keep noise levels low at all times. Using noise makers, such as speakers, radios, horns, whistles, megaphones or other devices that cause excessive noise is not permitted. To prevent noise from reaching other guest rooms through corridors, Park Hyatt Guangzhou requests that all guest room doors remain closed and latched at all times.
Park Hyatt Guangzhou requires all guests to observe the hotel’s quiet time between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. to ensure a peaceful environment as outlined in the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Noise Pollution. All noise complaints resulting in compensation to guests disturbed will be charged to the guest whose noise caused the complaint.
Luggage Policy
Complimentary luggage storage is available at Park Hyatt Guangzhou for a maximum of 30 days. However, the hotel is not liable for loss or damage. Unclaimed luggage may be disposed of after 30 days.
Parking Policy
Complimentary parking in the underground car park of R&F Yingkai Square is offered to all guests, limited to one vehicle per room.
Dress Code Policy
For the comfort of all guests, Park Hyatt Guangzhou does not permit hotel slippers and bathrobes to be worn in public areas and dining venues.
Photography & Filming Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou does not permit photography, videotaping, recording or live broadcasting of any kind, except for personal and noncommercial purposes. Interview activities of any kind require prior authorization, including but not limited to image shooting, filming, recording and interviewing guests or hotel colleagues.
While capturing memories is encouraged, guests taking photos or filming for personal and noncommercial uses at Park Hyatt Guangzhou are asked to respect the privacy and comfort of others. Photography and filming are not permitted in the pool area, the fitness center, restrooms, changing rooms and spa treatment rooms.
Drone Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou does not permit the use of drones.
Unacceptable Behavior Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou asks that guests show common courtesy to fellow guests and hotel colleagues and not use profanity or engage in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, such as fighting or threatening, bumping into and pushing others in the queue, using profanity or obscenities, or gesturing in an obscene or threatening manner. Engaging with other guests against their will is not permitted.
Guests should not take and/or otherwise damage plants and floral decorations and refrain from touching art pieces and water features displayed throughout the hotel. Consuming brought-in food and beverages in public areas of the hotel is not permitted. Food and drinks with pungent odors (e.g., durian) are not permitted to be brought into the hotel.
The sale or exchange of goods or services or the display of goods or services for sale or exchange, or solicitation for sale or exchange of goods or services, whereby goods include but are not limited to Hyatt-branded merchandise and services of any kind, is not permitted.
Distributing or displaying printed materials, propaganda materials such as business cards, leaflets advertising merchandise or services, recorded materials, flags, banners or signs of any kind, as well as carrying out rallies, themed events, performances, speeches or action arts, is not permitted unless authorized in advance.
Failing to be properly and fully clothed or wearing inappropriate or indecent attire, with printed offensive language and cult-related symbols, or wearing religious offensive clothes, long trains or attire that could detract from the experience of other guests, is not permitted in public areas at Park Hyatt Guangzhou. Wearing clothes that may mislead guests into thinking you are a hotel colleague is not permitted.
Littering or discarding any trash or personal belongings is not permitted except in designated trash receptacles.
Safety and Security Policy
Guests are not permitted to bring illegal, explosive, flammable, or other hazardous items onto hotel premises. Should a guest observe any item that is suspected to be illegal, explosive, flammable, or otherwise hazardous, they should contact a hotel colleague immediately.
Guests are strictly prohibited from using open flame sources or devices in guestrooms or public areas, including but not limited to gas stoves, charcoal grills, candles, incense, portable burners, or similar items.
Park Hyatt Guangzhou reserves the right to inspect bags, backpacks and other belongings before they are brought into the hotel. Park Hyatt Guangzhou reserves the right not to allow any bag, parcel or other items to be brought into the hotel.
Guests shall not leave personal belongings unattended at any time and shall be responsible for the safety and security of their own personal belongings. Guests are encouraged to leave their valuables in the safe. Park Hyatt Guangzhou deals with any unattended object in such a way as deemed appropriate for safety reasons.
For their own safety and the safety of others, guests should refrain from running at the hotel and climbing railings. Guests are not permitted to use recreation devices with wheels, such as inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, skateboards or scooters at the hotel. Playing sports or playing with kites, remote-controlled flying devices and remote-controlled toys is not permitted at the hotel. Wagons, carts, other wheeled carriers and electrically powered mobility devices are not permitted to be brought into the hotel, except manual wheelchairs, electrically powered mobility devices for guests with disabilities and strollers used for children.
Engaging in any unsafe acts or other acts that may impede the operation of the hotel or any associated facilities and not following instructions given by hotel colleagues are not permitted. Lingering in and blocking entrances, exits, lifts, corridors or other public areas are not permitted.
Surveillance Policy
Park Hyatt Guangzhou may photograph, film, videotape and/or record at the hotel at any time. Entry into the hotel constitutes consent to be filmed, photographed and/or recorded, and to our use of these images and/or sound recordings for our internal business, administrative and operational purposes or other directly related purposes, for the purpose of meeting legal, safety or security requirements or for other legitimate purposes.
Property Rights
Park Hyatt Guangzhou maintains a no-tolerance stance against disruptive behavior. Guests not adhering to the hotel’s policies may be asked to leave, with local authorities contacted if necessary. We reserve the right to refuse to provide products or services to ensure the safety or order of the hotel, or due to other necessary conditions as we see fit. The hotel reserves the right to deny admission or expel guests for non-compliance with these policies, ensuring safety, security and order.
