Be mindful.

When snorkeling or swimming off our coastline, stay off the coral and use reef-safe sun cream to protect our waters. On land, know the appropriate trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. Visit the Aruba Conservation Foundation for a map of areas and information about our parks.

Protect our native flora and fauna with low-impact activities.

Those who love being outdoors will find recreational opportunities everywhere on the island. We recommend kayaking, windsurfing, snorkeling, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, paddle boarding, and similar activities. Contact Red Sail Sports to organize a day out or plan a sunset sail.

Be informed.

Learn to recognize what species are threatened and what acts may harm the ecosystem. Many sea and land animals are protected species, including corals, sea turtles, parrotfish, iguanas, and our beloved Shoco Owl. Additionally, innocent acts like stacking rocks may harm native species and create far-reaching problems. A little education will go a long way to protecting the island. For information about protected species, please visit the Aruba Conservation Foundation. To learn about the negative impacts of rock stacking, please see aruba.com.

We also offer recreational activities taught by local experts exclusively to our guests.
