We really enjoyed our stay here.  So central. The Hotel was modern with clean lines but at the same time it was cosy.  The rooms were large & well appointed with a comfortable bed. Buffet breakfast was very good.  We really couldn’t fault our stay.  We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay. Pillows were lovely. Very modern features. Great shower! 

Well done! Only downside was the restaurant which closes at 10pm. Apparently, it’s on the top floor with great views. Perhaps next time!

Great stay

It looks like a new acquisition to the Hyatt group is a good one. Clean and friendly hotel is located pretty close to the Melbourne Convention Centre. In the morning you could get plenty of energy with the hefty Australian breakfast served on the top floor with a breathtaking view over Melbourne. Very clean and up-to-date facilities in-room, nice wooden floors and wall panels, even the keycards are made of wood. Thank you very much!

Hyatt Centric is compact. modern, clean, efficient and comfortable with attentive and efficient staff. Anything you need in a CBD Hotel. Staff were friendly efficient and delivered on everything I requested. The intimate nature of the hotel provides warmth and friendliness.

Hyatt Centric Meets the Standard

Due to flight delays I arrived at the hotel 1am. The hotel was staff-less and locked up. No one answered the buzzer by the door so after about 5min another passing guest let me in. There was no staff at the reception. I rang the hotel phone line several times and no one answered. A mobile number on a sign by reception just went to voicemail. I then rang the main Hyatt number 5 times. Each time I was put on hold and then cut off. At about 2:10am the staff member turned up and checked me in, over an hour after I arrived. I complained the next morning to the hotel manager and am still waiting on a communication back from them. I kept thinking what if a guest had a medical emergency and needed the paramedics? How would they have got in?

Such a comfy bed in an impressive room. Hotel is in a great spot has a great outlook from the rooftop bar. Breakfast was very good and the coffee shop in the lobby is a nice touch for a grab and go option. 

Sleeping on a cloud.

The hotel is centrally located and offers easy and convenient access to wherever you need to meet clients and colleagues in and around the CBD.  The rooms are spaceous, comfortable and clean and the views from the wide windows are excellent across the city landscape.  Internet and desk space was also excellent, so I could work in comfort and at ease.  The food in the hotel is also very good, though you are spolit for choice in surrounding area for restaurants too as well as multiple fantastic Melbourne cafes serving up coffee. 

Business trip to Melbourne

The service was exceptional at this hotel and our room was comfortable with great hooded robes and soft slippers. Location was good, close to everything we needed, we will definitely be going back next time.

The Perfect Hotel

Location was excellent, walking distance to Casino, DFO, Train station, Mall and plenty of restaurants nearby.  Value for money is great and the staff went out of their way to help.  Buffet breakfast was definitely worth the extra.

Great location and excellent service

I love the style of this hotel. Great for business trips, short walk to the convention center. Restaurant upstairs/room service was very nice and easy to order online. Very close to the train station as well.

Sleek and modern

Hyatt Centric is located at an extremely convenient location at Melbourne CBD. My wife and I were travelling to visit family in Melbourne while also exploring the beautiful city. This hotel was great in its proximity to attractions we wanted to visit (within walking distance to the casino and sea life), and was 5-10 mins drive from great food choices within the area. 

I would highly recommend this place had it not been for the poor soundproofing the rooms have, which was a huge disappointment esp in a Hyatt property. The rooms do not have double glazed windows and as such you hear every train passing throughout the night and even the rubbish truck in the wee hours of the mornings. Traffic around the area is busy during the day and you will hear it from your hotel room. 

If you’re a light sleeper, give this property a pass; otherwise be prepared to sleep with noise cancelling headphones in!

Nice location, great amenities, lacks soundproofing

We were there for 3 nights, I'd happily go back there again when we're staying in the city. It's close to Southern Cross Station and easy to walk from there to anywhere in the city. Next time we are definitely going to the restaurant for breakfast but we ran out of time (slept in lol).  The hot water and water pressure in the shower is amazing.  I'd love it if the pool was a few degrees hotter though, Melbourne is freezing atm.

A lovely place to stay

Perfect spot for a weekend getaway  - lovely boutique style accommodation in a super stylish setting.  Rooms were a good size and had everything we needed, breakfast buffet was delicious and again in a stylish rooftop setting.   Far enough away from the hustle and bustle and noise of the city, but close enough to walk everywhere comfortably.   Staff were all super friendly and helpful.  Would definitely stay here again.

Fab Stay with Friends

There was a disgusting smell in my room and in the hallways on various floors of the hotel.  This is the second time i have experienced this.  Staff claimed it to be from external to the hotel.  Even so, why is the ventilation circulating air that smells like a sewer.

Disgusting Small in the Hyatt Centric - staff did not care

We had a fabulous weekend at the Hyatt Centric. From the moment we arrived everyone was welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful and clean and very quiet, we slept so well. The  breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed cocktails in the evening with a fantastic view.

Beautiful trendy hotel, good room and facilities with friendly staff. Located close to transport, dining and shopping. Recommend staying and experiencing something a little special this hotel offers. Must try hotel. :)

Something different and trendy :)

Our room was filthy. Looked as if housekeeping hadn’t cleaned it with the exception of making the bed. Reception staff notified but no assistance (late afternoon) and then charged us 2ce for the room as well. Do not recommend. Was all a bit of a nightmare. We spoke to others the same weekend on our floor while waiting bf or the lift who has the same issues. 

Dirty room and poor customer service

For attendance at an event at Docklands this was a handy place to stay within walking distance. Excellent pool area, lovely restaurant with views overlooking the western end of town, reasonable car access at front entrance, valet or personal parking if required. Rooms clean, modern, comfy bed king size, bathroom big enough, robes and slippers but no mini bar although available on request.

Handy fresh accommodation with parking, a pool and a restaurant at the Dockland Stadium end of town.

We stayed at the Hyatt Centric for 2 nights.  From start to finish was a great experience.  It is conveniently located near public transport hubs and near Marvel Stadium where we were going. 
The hotel is gorgeous, very intimate and well appointed with great views, but its great strength is the staff.  They were all without exception warm, friendly, professional and efficient.  Would definitely stay again.  

Great central hotel

The hotel is in the centre of the city and so close to everything. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back to stay. The restaurant was next level and food delicious. Was a perfect weekend

Great experience

First time at Hyatt centric, great hotel and loved the different vibe to the normal 5 star hotels. Only a 1 night stay but all staff were great as expected- will certainly be back. A great location for anyone wanting the west side of the Melbourne CBD.

Great addition to Hyatt

Stayed here to attend the conference in the convention centre. Easy to walk there. The hotel is quite new and I liked the 25m heated lap pool. The breakfast was good too although more vegetable options would make it even better.

wonderful experience

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff at reception were so helpful & friendly. The room was very clean, the shower great & beds comfortable. Had the best sleep every night. If you stay definately include the breakfast level 25. What was also lovely was the pool, we went down each day. It was clean, quiet big & atmosphere very relaxing.
Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

Charge different amounts for the same drinks when going back for another round of same drinks, slow service at the bar. Beds a little uncomfortable and poor emergency evacuation procedure. Would recommend if not on business conference to go to another bar

Bar Rip Off

Beautiful hotel facilities, pool area and rooms all fantastic and well designed in a modern style. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, room service and restuarant food was excellent  as was the roof top bar! Great location, highly recommend!

Excellent Hotel with amazing facilities, location, staff and food!

Check-in was slow and tedious - needing to write the same email address and phone number used for the booking. I was asked to write out those details again on checkout. After checking in, I couldn't get up to my floor as the HID cards hadn't been correctly provisioned. I had to rejoin the queue at reception for that to be addressed. Door to the room barely opened half way due to a faulty articulating arm. Black mould growing in the shower cubicle. Fitness centre out of operation for the duration of my stay. Air conditioning failed on day two and ruined my sleep. Excellent location.

More like a bad country motel than a 5-star hotel

Terrific hotel with lovely views from our room and especially from their restaurant. Service was top class throughout our stay and we enjoyed exploring the bottom end of Melbourne near the hotel. Recommend this hotel

Weekend away

Very nice city hotel which lives up to its name 'Centric'. Lots of quirky decorative touches throughout the interiors, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and unpretentious while still feeling special and luxurious. Absolutely loved the heated indoor pool!

Great Urban Hotel

Located near Southern cross station and good walking distance from all things Melbourne taste and fun, we had an excellent weekend staying at this chic retro accommodation.
With a welcome wine and breakfast included, our girls weekend felt sophisticated and easy. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic to see us have a great time, rooms were comfortable (make sure you use the robes and slippers for extra comfort, while you cast your favourite film with free Wi-Fi to the screen) and we wish we'd had more time to enjoy the fantastic indoor pool.
Make sure you take advantage of the restaurant and bar with a cocktail or wine as you take in the stunning views, or listen to the chill live music provided in the lobby on weekend afternoons!

Retro 70's vibes make for fun Melbourne get away

Attention to detail was lacking for an organisation with the Hyatt brand. Rubbish was left in the room and even after 3 days of raising this with front desk, it was not removed.
Night before check out, front desk called and offered to come remove the rubbish for me and I turned them away

Attention to detail was lacking

This hotel would be a 10/10 if it were not for the proximity to the train track. There are rooms that face east away from the trains but most face west towards them. When multiple trains pass at the same time it is really noticable and makes for bad sleep from very early in the morning. I was eventually moved away on the second request but the first request was met with a real reluctance and almost disbelief that I would even contemplate asking to be moved for the issue.

New beutiful hotel let down by proximity to elevated train track

A great modern hotel in a fabulous location.  It's a new build but the attention to detail is amazing. The styling is spectacular and thoughtful.  We loved our stay. Very handy location. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.  I loved how the foyer felt cosy and welcoming. Beautiful pool area. Well done Hyatt Centric!

Funky modern hotel

The design of the room is great, lots of fine details from bathroom to the bedroom, easy access to the CBD. Overall service was great, strongly recommended to this one of the newest Hyatt property in Melbourne.

very comfortable stayed there for 2 nights !!! great location . highly recommended hotel , walking distance  crown and Exhibition center round the corner , very specious room big bed they provided during my stay .    

Exceptional

Exceptional service throughout, entire stay. Definitely will only stay here for all our trips to Melbourne. Every single staff member was extremely polite and  sir past out expectations. Dinner at the Restaurant was also just as amazing as their service.

Had a great stay. Very clean room, comfy bed and great views. Breakfast was perfectly adequate and good variety. Front of house were very friendly and personable. Easy to get tram around town and walkable to DFO. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful staff!

Surprisingly nice hotel with good size rooms. All amenities taken care of in the room. Robes, slippers etc, toiletries a nice touch. Breakfast was awesome, the view from the restaurant was great. Staff friendly and efficient. Hotel itself spotless. Pool area very nice (possibly a degree or two on the cool side, especially for a Melbourne winter!).

Found this great little deal on Luxury Escapes, great value for money, modern and clean, hotel Staff super helpful and friendly, especially loved the pool ambiance and Langlands Restaurant on Level 25 for breakfast, cocktails and of course the views.

Melb Hyatt Centric

My stay was great, love the fact that there is a Nesspreso machine, and a tea kettle in the room, and that there was milk in the fridge.  Appreciated having both a closet with plenty of hanging space and a seperate dresser.  Split bathroom is cute

Great for business travel

Our stay was wonderful. The ambience of shared spaces was relaxing and delightful. We particularly enjoyed the pool area.  Everything was wonderfully clean. The buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations and was just amazing!

A beautiful spot to stay. Staff made you feel so welcomed and couldn’t do enough for you. Room was excellent. Restaurant and Bar on top floor lovely views,breakfast and dinner was excellent.Highly recommend.

Amazing

We booked a King Balcony Room, which I wouldn't do again as there was no view and no furniture on the balcony to sit. I will definitely look at booking a room on a higher level next time as all reviews for higher rooms seem great. Level 3 was not much to rave about. The room was large enough and the bathroom, cupboard layout is good. Langlands Restaurant on Level 25 has great views and atmosphere. The Breakfast buffet offered a range of food and was good, not spectacular but plenty to eat. We would stay again as the location is great for city and easy access to trains and trams.

3 night stay in King Deluxe Room

A modern contemporary hotel that is very comfortable and well appointed. Welcoming and friendly staff who anticipate our needs. A very good location close to Southern Cross Station and South Bank, plus the free CBD trams make it easy to get around the city.

If you are looking for a hotel tell that goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, relaxing and stress-free, then I highly recommend this hotel. Great facilities available and convenient location.

Great hotel with amazing team

A lot of pros: Staff at desk was very friendly and helpful, decor was funky and cool, and location was great. The places they need to work on: great lobby but odd and loud music playing.  Restaurant breakfast buffet is great, but menu is limited for dinner and service is VERY slow.  Rooms are clean, well appointed, but don't bother getting a balcony - ours had no view and there is no furniture on the balcony so it was a total waste of space.

All the staff were extremely helpful and were able to answer any questions we asked with detailed information. We were also provided with a free upgrade upon arrival. The lobby and room was extremely clean and the views are beautiful.

Highly recommend for travel with family. We had the most amazing stay here - hotel was so clean and staff so lovely - service was impeccable. Kids loved the pool, it was great! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic Stay

Enjoyed our girls night away in a twin room, with comfy beds, a great welcome, lovely space, the location was awesome just near the train station for us to walk across and the views from the restaurant were stunning.

Great location, staff and property

My 6 year old daughter and I had a mother/daughter staycation during the recent school holidays. 24hrs in our city exceeded our expectations! We swam in the beautiful hotel pool, enjoyed room service, watched a movie, had a lovely breakfast (which she loved on the 25th floor!) and had a overall beautiful time together. Just what we needed. We'll be back! 

Staycation with young daughter

Had a great 4 night stay with my 16 yr old and she really enjoyed the hotel and location. A warm and cosy foyer with pleasant staff is always a bonus. The location is perfect for access to trams, casino and other attractions. Just a short walk to train and bus terminals. 

Vibrant and cosy

So clean lovely hotel in great location but be prepared for a overheated uncomfortable room. Heat was set in 22 in a small room with no balcony or window to open. No airflow , not much sleep , paid extra for river view and late check out. No river view and left early just to get out of the room.

Uncomfortable

Absolutely loved our stay here. From the little details of the note in our room to say happy anniversary, bottle of wine & the friendly staff to the cleanliness of everything, we were blown away. Such a beautiful, modern hidden gem in such a fantastic location.

At the risk of the price of the rooms going up in this hotel post my review, I have now stayed at Hyatt Centric twice for business and it is my absolute favourite hotel in Melbourne. The foyer looks like a cool bar with the staff the warmest of people who more than anticipate my needs, they deliver with a smile. The artwork is gorgeous, the coffee is superb (and that's saying a lot for hotel coffee) and it just doesn't have an inch of stuffiness about it. You also have the option of having a quick and cheaper bite to eat in the foyer, it's just lovely.

Cool, friendly, appealing to the eye

We had a wonderful experience staying at Hyatt Centric Melbourne. Good location away from the busy streets yet close enough to walk around in CBD. The rooms and amenity were in excellent condition and the restaurant was fantastic. To top it all they are also dog friendly! Would highly recommend!

The Hyatt Centric in Melbourne is a beautiful hotel with spectacular staff and is extremely well kept. My room was so warm and inviting and cleaned perfectly each night, highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Centric in Melbourne!

This is a fantastic place to stay!

Good place to stay, clean and comfortable.  The hotel is close to everything and ver accessible to public transport if needed.  The staff are very friendly and helpful.  24hr front desk and restaurant upstairs is awesome.

I stayed for 3 nights for work and wish I could have stayed longer. The best hotel experience I've had, everything was pristine. The best pool, perfect temperature and I had it to myself for most of the time. Gym looked fantastic with the latest equipment and was a great size.

Restaurant upstairs was lovely. Recommend the Ceviche.

They do go above and beyond, if you need to print something. They will happily do it for you and deliver to your room

Amazing hotel

Modern hotel with full facilities, great location close to ferry and Marvel Stadium. Excellent staff were very helpful. Rooms and common areas were spotless. . Very neat integration of services for Bellarine travellers via ort Phillip Ferry, resulting in significant discounts/add-ons. i.e. Upgrade one level , welcoming drink in bar and full breakfasts. You have to use a ferry code and show your frry ticket to access these goodies.

Beautiful brand new hotel in fabulous location close to Southern Cross station. Wonderful front of house staff. Great restaurant on the top floor. Very quiet on the 17th floor, great views and beautifully appointed rooms with superb lighting. My new must-stay hotel when I visit Melbourne. Ten stars.

Ten star hotel - just book it

We stumbled across Hyatt Centric without knowing much about it. We were so pleasantly surprised. It’s so conveniently located and positioned. The hotel itself is new, stylish and well appointed. Staff were helpful, friendly and very professional. We loved our little city getaway and cannot wait to come back. Thank you. 

A lovely surprise

Thanks to the all the team members, you made our short stay really easy and enjoyable. From the great team at reception to the wonderful team at breakfast the next morning, everyone was happy and seemed glad to be helping us, it really came obvious to us that this is a great place to work. Loved It

We stayed at the hotel for a 2 day conference at the Melbourne Exhibition & Conference Centres. The hotel is just few minute walking to MECC & Crown Casino with trams and Southern Cross train station nearby. The hotel condition is great, the lifts were clean & fast, staff were polite, friendly and very helpful from checkin to check out. We were even allowed to leave our luggages in the hotel storage to collect later on the day. The experience with food catering was fantastic, delicious food, nice drink under beautiful night view of the city. Small downside is abit of noise sometimes from the train tracks to the rooms facing that way but quite minimal. Thanks for the service and we would love to come back and have food at the hotel again.

Convenient location, great condition, food and services

I was very pleased with the service and room accomodation. Concierge service was very helpful and responsive to our needs. The 25th floor has an increíble city view and it is very pleasant to have breakfast or dinner in this place.

Excelent location and accomodations

I have never stayed at a Centric Brand Hotel before and was pleasantly surprised how great it was. Fantastic location at the bottom end of Melbourne CBD and only a very short walking distance to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Front of house Staff are super Friendly and helpful and made my stay really enjoyable. Rooms are new and and very functional and very clean.

Surprisingly Enjoyable Stay

Another lovely stay at my favourite hotel in Melbourne.  All the staff were so friendly and efficient.  I will come back again for sure!  Breakfast is excellent and the incredible views mean you can lose a couple of hours relaxing over your coffee and eggs.....  Pool is amazing as is the gym.  Really enjoyed the live Music Friday night also in the lobby. Thanks again.

Best Hotel in Melbourne

Hyatt Centric has become our Melbourne base — whether travelling with our 3 year old or quick escapes with just the two of us, the Centric is a perfect blend of style, luxury and convenience where nothing is too much trouble

Love this place

We stayed for a Fri/Sat night stay. Check-in was super easy late at night within their very nice lobby area. The king room was very spacious with an easy flow and nice views over this quiet end of the city. In the morning we went up to the top floor restauarnt for the breakfast. Very delicious food and spread for the morning with lots of nice private seating. Again, great views form the restaurant. The cafe in the lobby does great coffee which is very convenient before heading out. We didn't check out the pool or gym but they looked great. Rooms had nice robes and slipper sfor the pool, as well as easy to use streaming to the TV's.

A well spent staycation at Hyatt Centric on Easter break last week. This hotel is laid back, cozy, appears with a stylish minimalistic design. Subsequently, the booking, check-in and out process is super easy.

The price is considered friendly for a long weekend and public holiday. Especially if you are a Qantas or Hyatt member which give you extra points.

Walk into the lobby area, we are welcomed by a homey communal space which has comfortable sofa with big pillows, benches, and an open coffee shop. Four elevators available to travel up and down which needs our room key to pass.

This hotel would be a good option for a short gateway. For me, I don't mind to stay just in the hotel for my short stay as it can accommodate my need to relax and chill.

Well Spent Staycaytion

I was fortunate enough to spend my Easter weekend in Melbourne staying at the Hyatt Centric.  The location, ambience, service and quality of food, beverage and entertainment was exceptional.  I would highly recommend to folks who love luxury and quality without the excessive price point attached to such virtues.

A Satisfying Stay

Fit for purpose ,conveniently located hotel . Neighbouring under construction building creates a lot of debris right at the entrance of the  hotel . Made worse by smokers dropping cigarette butts and a lingering smoke screen ( at times ) and automatic door draught ( as it opens & closes) brings smoke fumes inside . It is not pleasant to linger in the reception area. Disappointed .

Convenient , clean , comfortable but unremarkable

Warm welcome extended with excellent service and friendliness throughout my stay. Smiles and pleasantries from everyone every day. Laundry on the pricey side, but came back in good condition. Particular reference to the beef cheeks, and the burger in the restaurant, yummy

Hyatt the experience of a lifetime

Lovely place, clean, comfy beds. The pool is beautiful and the gym facilities are fantastic and had all the basics you’d need. Staff were friendly and made check in and check out a breeze. Will definitely stay again. 

Everything you would expect from a premium hotel other than the location. Drug users and a shoplifter wrestling with a local convenience store owner soured the experience for some of our party. 
The in-house restaurant was more than up to the mark if you didn't want to dine out after dark. 



Great hotel in a poor part of the city.

Recently Stays for a 2-night stay for business. Was impressed by the hotels, facilities and overall standard. It is well located close to docklands, Maraval and the crown complex.  Would stay again and reccomend

Convenient Location and Massive Value

I arrived at the Hyatt early and was told I could leave my bags and to expect them to be in the room when it’s ready. It was not. So I called and asked if they could bring them up and they said yes. An hour goes by, so I just went down to get it and notice it had not been touched from the get go (understood it was a busy weekend, so didn’t really care).

I don’t think the toilet fan was working either, because after dropping a gift for the sewer rats, I came home to a room that was not well ventilated.

Didn’t get housekeeping, which was because of the ‘do not disturb’ button, but I remember turning it off before I left.

Do not use room service if you want to have a good meal. Was dissatisfied. Go to one of the nearby cafes instead.

Bed wasn’t great either.

Cleanest, most awesome hotel! Friendliest, helpful staff, amazing facilities. The pool area is to die for. The breakfast area on the 25th floor, 🤩 and the valet parking makes life really easy! 😊😊😊😊😊

Just beautiful

Everything about this hotel was amazing. From the amazing entrance to the live music in the grand foyer. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was fantastic. The balcony was lovey to just watch the city life. Would highly recommend the Hyatt. Will definitely be returning 

Highly recommend

Staff go out of their way to make your stay special.  The hotel is close to Southern Cross Station and the tram network.  Excellent buffet breakfast. Great facilities.  Wonderful view of Melbourne and surrounds from the 25th Floor, both day and night.  Looking forward to returning to this hotel at some point in the future.

Excellent location for CBD

I usually stay at the Grand Hyatt when i stay in Melbourne however they were fully booked out on the date i was wanting!
I did some googling and found the Hyatt Centric...I was abit apprehensive about where it was near Spencer Street station however I got a very pleasant surprise when I arrived! 
Valet parking is an important factor when I book a place and they were wonderful!
As soon as you walk in the smell is divine and the atmosphere was amazing!
The room was lovely and spotless!
The staff were friendly and very helpful!
The restaurant on the 25th floor was spectacular with great food choices and views!
Im looking forward to my next stay there in August!

A Wonderful Surprise

The staff at Hyatt Centric Melbourne took the stress off our shoulders by being very accommodating. Our flight was cancelled by Jetstar and they booked us into Hyatt. They understood our situation and were very helpful

BUT......when checking n on line was advised housekeeping is only once every 3 days so my 2 night stay didnt qualify?? was not told that at time of booking or wouldn't have booked

Woke up first morning and went to have a shower for work. NO HOT WATER. Ran water for a few minutes and then had to have a cold shower as had to get to work. On way out reported the issue only to be told i have to run water for 10-15 minutes before a shower to get hot water up to the 8th floor.
Home at 11pm that night after work and a trip to the MCG. ready to run water for 15minutes so i could shower. 45minutes it took for water to get WARM enough for a shower. With a 7am pick up there was no quick shower in the morning, had to set alarm an extra 45mins early to get enough hot water to have morning shower.

I dont ask for much in a hotel. BUT running H&C water and a cleaned room for me area essentials anywhere.

Hotel comped my one night for my inconvenience. Personally, id feel embarrassed charging anything for that.

A real let down!

Beautiful rooms and INCREDIBLY comfortable bed & pillows. The bathroom facilities were excellent and the modern amenities definitely were a nice upgrade from other hotels I've stayed at similar price points.  Highly recommend the Hyatt Centric and will definitely be booking in again for my next trip!

Excellent hotel at an affordable rate!

Rooms are cosy. Stay on the 22nd floor and the w outside noise from the trains and traffic interrupted our sleep. There are better hotels with sound proofing around the same location. Would be hesitant to stay here again.  

Better Places to stay in CBD

Stayed here 3 nights mainly for business. Not the cheapest option but one of the most comfortable and fashionable hotels I've ever had the pleasure to stay in. Gorgeous modern decor, intimate restaurant with excellent food, divine beds and super clean. 

Beautiful boutique hotel in excellent central location

We have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and we have not been disappointed. Lovely modern rooms, friendly staff and the food and service in the restaurant was outstanding. Highly recommended. The only criticism is depend on the location of the room there is some noise from the railway line over Spencer street.

My sister and I were pleasantly surprised by the quirky decor and lovely atmosphere of the hotel lobby. Nice touch with the live music on Friday arvo too! We loved our twin room, very clean and the staff were really friendly. Location is not too far away from the main shopping district. 

Lovely hotel, highly recommend!

It's a fairly busy hotel but the staff was proactive to upgrade me to a Suite 2 days after I checked in with my Globalist status. When the room was cleaned during the day, it was thoroughly cleaned with all used cups and glasses replaced unlike a Hyatt hotel in Sydney (I won't name) that won't bother to do so. 

Good new hotel and can't beat the location

My main recommendation if you’re a light sleeper is to ask for a room away from the train line. Other than that all the rooms are well appointed, with all the amenities you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber. Huge shower, nice toiletries. Room service was quick and had great options. Breakfast buffet is expensive but if you’re willing to make the most of it the food is really good. 

Good location, nice hotel

Hyatt Centric is a fantastic hotel hidden away in a quiet street in the middle of Melbourne. Great staff and excellent car valet service. Nice design and modern facilities throughout the hotel. Great place to stay.

Great place to be!

We loved everything about this hotel. It was amazing. It was quite different from other places I have stayed. The food was delicious, service outstanding and very centrally located. The gym was well appointed and the pool was amazing. So warm with lots of lovely places to just relax. I would definitely stay here again. 

Funky fun gorgeous hotel

Perfect location to Southbank, public transport, shopping (everything). The hotel is clean and well maintained. The ideal place to stay for whatever you are in Melbourne CBD to achieve. Breakfast was relaxing overlooking the city.
