[HTMLContent]Caring for the planet is a natural extension of Hyatt’s purpose – to care for people so they can be their best. At Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong, we are taking a number of steps to help make a difference.
A Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong Green Committee was created in 2022, with the purpose of leading the sustainability efforts of the hotel, formed by colleagues across all departments.
We use Hyatt EcoTrack to track metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and recycling. By collecting data, we are able to generate insights that are important in advancing efficiency and reducing our impacts wherever possible.

Environmental Sustainability

<li>A significant 75% reduction of electricity consumption per occupied room and 70% reduction in water consumption per occupied room when compared to our 2019 baseline.</li>
<li>Turning on lights in meeting rooms only when needed.</li>
<li>Effectively scheduling heating and cooling needs according to operational needs.</li>
<li>For extended stay guests, changing linens every fourth day unless requested otherwise.</li>
<li>Coordinating the temperature of restaurants to reduce energy use while supporting attendees’/ diners’ comfort.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Straws made of environmentally friendly materials are offered upon request.</li>
<li>Hydration stations are available in The Farmhouse Deli for guests who would like to refill their reusable bottles.</li>
<li>Recycling bins are placed in each guest room to inspire guests to play their part in green living by separating their waste and recycling during their stays.</li>
<li>Refillable bulk format hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in the showers to reduce the use of single-use bath amenities.</li>
<li>Mobile Entry is available through the World of Hyatt app to eliminate the number of plastic keycards handed out.</li>
<li>Cruise Restaurant &amp; Bar purchases bottle-free spirits from sustainable supplier ecoSPIRITS, which significantly reduces packaging and glass waste, and has a lower carbon footprint. </li>

Waste and Circularity

<li>Focusing on serving high welfare and sustainable food products whenever possible. 60% of our seafood inventory is sourced from sustainably-certified suppliers (either MSC or ASC-certified) and only high-welfare chicken, pork, and beef from reputable sources will be used.</li>
<li>Offering plant-based &amp; plant-forward menu items in our restaurants and for events. </li>
<li>Contributing 1% of our restaurant bills to help fund food-related climate solutions, in partnership with Zero Foodprint Asia, a non-profit organisation that invests in local, regenerative farming and land management practices. </li>

Our Food Philosophy

Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong is located in the Eastern part of Hong Kong Island.
The hotel is a short walk from North Point’s Ferry Pier, MTR station, tram stop, and numerous public bus services covering almost all areas of Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories, and Lantau Island. Travelling by public transportation is easy and highly encouraged.
