Environmental Sustainability
Overview
At Grand Hyatt San Francisco, we prioritize environmental consciousness in all aspects of our operations. Our unwavering commitment to sustainability is evident through our comprehensive initiatives and Green Key Certification of five keys. These encompass substantial measures aimed at reducing carbon emissions, conserving energy and water, managing waste, and sourcing responsibly, all meticulously monitored through the Hyatt EcoTrack system. Our dedication to sustainability and green practices not only shapes our operational approach but also serves as an inspirational cornerstone for our valued guests.

Climate Change & Water
Our energy and water sustainability initiatives are focused on efficient LED lighting, sensor-controlled event spaces, smart HVAC scheduling, guest room energy conservation, linen and towel reuse program, low-flow water fixtures, eco-friendly kitchen equipment, and sustainable decor.

Waste and Circularity
Our sustainability measures include hydration stations, waste separation and recycling, mobile entry, amenity dispensers, compostable straws, digital tools, and staff training for eco-friendly practices. Our hotel also proudly participates in Chefs to End Hunger, which safely transports unused food to local communities in need.

Responsible Sourcing
Guided by our "Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served." philosophy, we prioritize local sourcing (90%), minority-owned Red Bay coffee, cage-free eggs, sustainable seafood, organic produce, all-natural grass-fed beef, and plant-based menu options.

Green Suggestions for Your Stay
We encourage guests to take advantage of eco-friendly options for exploring San Francisco, like our bike share program, public transit, walkability to countless activities and restaurants, and water dispensing stations located throughout our hotel.
