Horseback Riding at The Stables at Tamaya

While visiting New Mexico, explore the wonder of horses and take in breathtaking views of the Albuquerque desert at the Stables at Tamaya. Group trail horseback rides are $90/person and depart twice a day, depending on weather. Private trail rides and horseback riding lessons customized to your riding experience are also available. Arrive early and learn about the special rescue horses from Tamaya Horse Rehab Non-Profit Organization or join us at the weekly Thursday night rodeo all summer!

Bike Riding

Check out a complimentary cruiser bike and helmet from our Recreation Department and ride through the bosque or take a trip down the road to visit the Stables. We have bikes for every age and size and toddler trailers too.

Cultural Experiences

Resort guest can experience a variety of cultural activities included in the Resort Fee. From a local artisan demonstration to sampling Huruna – traditional baked bread of the pueblo – with a variety of butters and preserves, plan ahead to immerse yourself in the local culture. Jeep Tours

NM Jeep Tours offers guided tours year round out of Albuquerque and Santa Fe with pickups available at Tamaya’s front door. The Land of Enchantment abounds in opportunities to explore the mysteries of its ancient past and the wonders of its stunning landscapes.

Twin Warriors Golf Club

Twin Warriors Golf Club, one of Southwest's finest golf courses, hosted the 2022 Sr. PGA Professional Championship and 2nd Women’s PGA cup. Since its opening in 1991, the course has received numerous awards and was designed and developed with meticulous care and cultural sensitivity. Hot Air Balloon Rides in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description: This unforgettable adventure with Rainbow Ryders is a spectacular way to view the resort, Sandia Mountains and Rio Grande River Valley. As the balloon is inflated, you can join the pilot as a hands-on crew member before hopping in and soaring through the turquoise skies. Site varies based on weather.

Kuaua/Coronado Historic Site Tours

A 1.5 hour eco-tour of the Kuaua Historic site & Pueblo ruins including a native drum journey meditation. Located five miles east of Hyatt Regency Tamaya, tours depart from Tamaya lobby Monday through Wednesday at 10 am & 12 pm. Transportation provided. $45/person, max group size = 4.

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center

Dedicated to preserving Pueblo culture, this Cultural Center showcases the accomplishments and unique history of the Pueblo people of New Mexico.
