Amazing hotel! This is our second time at the Thompson, Austin. We stayed at the Tommie on our last visit and were blown away. The on-site restaurants are some of our favorites in all of Austin. Incredible gym and pool. We were traveling with our 3-month old baby and everyone was super accommodating which was very appreciated.

Upon arrival carriage, service, valet, parking, drain cards, expedited, check in, been a form, the room upgraded twice, and the above and beyond service from the staff is top notch. This is the only hotel I would ever consider staying in Austin, Texas, for all my future travels to Austin.

Where do I even start with how amazing this stay at the Thompson was?! Before we even arrived our experience was incredible. John P. and Saige A. we’re fabulous! We were upgraded to a much better room and also received a day bed rental by the pool since we were celebrating my fiancés birthday! The staff at the hotel is kind and welcoming! The property itself is outstanding. The rooms are beautiful, the gym is state of the art, the pool is fun and relaxing. And all the food and drinks we had were delicious! We are loyal Hyatt members and will continue to be, and will be loyal Thompson customers forever now! If you’re debating staying here…DO IT!!

This hotel was perfect from the moment we walked in. The front desk staff was top notch (if you get Kelley you are set!) The pool staff was top notch. The hotel was clean and had such an inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be staying here again!

We highly recommend the Thompson Austin! The common areas provide a lovely environment with extremely pleasant staff. I absolutely loved the pool area with bar service. It is so convenient to all of Austin.

We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson in downtown Austin. We were upgraded to a suite that had a view of the world famous 6th street. The room looked brand new, it even had a record player and bluetooth radio. The pool area was just the right size, we had seats near the action one day, and away the next--each having its perks. Jay at the pool treated us like family, always checking in on us. Breakfast at the Grey market was delicious and fresh. Everything about the property was first class--we are trying to figure out when we can sneak back to the Thompson!

Was very impressed. The electricity went out at my former hotel. I'm US Military and Nathen was very helpful writing letters explaining the situation so I could relay back to my command. Very impressed.

I was at the Thompson Austin for a 3 day business meeting. The hotel had great facilities for the business meeting, and was only 1 block off of 6th Street and a short distance to The Capital. The rooms were clean and modern with good work space to get things done. My room had a view of the pool, which I believe closed at 10, so the noise was not at all an issue. I was able to use the pool which was very nice. I also used the Gym which had a great set of weights and machines, TV's , water, towels, etc. My only complaint is that when I checked out, I confirmed the bill amount, and that I had not used the mini bar - the Thompson employee asked me this. I get home to do my expense report and alas, I now have a mini bar charge. I'm not sure if hotels don't understand that this is a time sink to address incorrect charges. Now my good feelings about my experience are tarnished.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good. Ian from the front desk made us feel welcome as a globalist. He explained our benefits during our stay. Outstanding job Ian! The only negative thing about the hotel is the noice from the 6th street and also the AC system in our room was very loud. Overall, I’m a satisfy guest because of Ian.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent service and amazing dining options! From the front desk to the final checkout-superb. Loved the comp champagne upon check in. Def try the Grey Mashama Bailey’s restaurant and Grey’s Market for best scrambled eggs ever and yogurt that was so creamy and delish!
