Amazing hotel!
Busy but great location to get around to Central Park and the all the way to the financial district. Rooms were lovely and modern, housekeeping was efficient and had a great overall stay.
Ask about amenities when booking with points - It's not the same
No hot water our last day and no compensation. Don't expect the $15 F&B credit if you book with points. There communication when booking with points should have been more clear.
Pleasant stay
It was a pleasant stay overall. The minimum criteria that I seek out when booking a hotel are whether I feel safe, the room is clean, and it provides respite from the chaos of the day (comfortable bed, quiet, etc.). The Hyatt Regency Times Square exceed the minimum criteria. The rooms are well appointed, and quiet, considering the proximity to Times Square. The staff was very hospitable and helpful when some minor issues came up.

Impeccable Service and an Amazing Times Square Stay
I had such a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency Times Square! The room was spacious, very clean, and had an amazing view of Times Square. Housekeeping cleaned the room every day, which I really appreciated. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Times Square and close to so many attractions, shops, restaurants, and public transport. The hop-on hop-off tour stop is just a 1–2 minute walk from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient and helped me save on Uber costs while exploring the city as a solo traveller. Broadway, Rockefeller Center, and SUMMIT One Vanderbilt are also within walking distance. The service was impeccable, and everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. I also loved the hotel lobby and appreciated the luggage storage service. The separate elevators for different floors were a thoughtful touch, so convenient and no time wasted going up and down my room as I didn’t have to wait long. Overall, this hotel made my New York trip even more enjoyable. The combination of the fantastic location, comfortable rooms, amazing views, and exceptional service makes it a great choice, especially for solo travellers. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
Stains on mattress, Hair in Bed & Shower
Hotel was highly recommended by my employer. My room was changed 2 times. First time key did not work. 2nd room there was large stains (what appeared to be blood) on external side mattress (see photos). Third room had hair in bed and shower, window seals old and dirty, baseboards separating from walls. I stayed in the 3rd room because I was now running late to a client meeting. Cleaniness is a big concern with this hotel. Poorly remodeled. I will not stay here again and have asked my company to remove them from the recommended employee travel list. Manager gave me a free appetizer and my room taxes were removed. I did not redeem the appetizer, rooms are not clean so I can’t trust the kitchen. My nightly stay was over a thousand dollars. Paid to much for this experience.
Great location!
Great location. Quiet hotel near busy Times Square. Clean rooms that are well kept. If you want to attend shows, everything is close by!

Karen, being near the energy of Times Square while enjoying a quiet stay is a lovely combination. We are glad your room was clean and well kept, and that getting to a show was easy. New Hotel in Times Square
Nice new hotel. Very comfortable beds. Very nice fitness center. Rooms appear to be pretty small (we were initially given a corner room which was decently spacious but it shared a wall with two service elevators which were noisy - suggest avoiding any room such as 4102, 4202, 4302 etc. We were moved to what they had left, a 2 Queen room that was much smaller but still comfortable). The breakfast buffet is sadly uninspiring - the same every day and no premium touches. Hotel staff friendly. Very close to multiple subway lines and easy two stop access to Penn Station.
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
Neil, we are delighted you found the beds comfortable at Hyatt Regency Times Square. It is great to hear you enjoyed the fitness center, and that our team’s friendliness stood out. Being close to several subway lines also made getting around and reaching Penn Station convenient. We are sorry the room change left you in a smaller room and that noise affected your first room. The breakfast buffet also did not offer the variety or special touches you were hoping for. We have shared your comments about the rooms and breakfast with the teams responsible for each area. We hope to have another opportunity to make your next stay even more enjoyable. Warm regards, Alex K. Social Media Manager
2026 Pacheco Fall Vacation
I hadn’t been anywhere all of 2026. I was jonesing for an NYC trip (had been once before.) I brought my mom. Our plan was Broadway shows, comedy event at the Beacon Theatre, Hockey game at Madison Square Garden. When looking at properties that would be central for all these events, Hyatt Regency is what we came across and chose. More than fulfilling, from beginning to end, concerning our stay. We were in town for 8 nights. Beautiful room, Times Square view, clean bathrooms. The lobby very spacious and inviting to lounge in. Also, a very aromatic aroma. I would highly recommend this property. A bit on the pricey side but who is going to Manhattan to budget? Lol
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
Isaac, eight nights in New York with your mom, planned around Broadway and a hockey game, sounds like a memorable return to the city. We are glad Hyatt Regency Times Square made such a fitting base for your trip. It is lovely to know you enjoyed the Times Square view from your room. We are also pleased the bathrooms felt clean and that the spacious lobby gave you a welcoming place to relax. The welcoming aroma you noticed is a nice touch to hear about. Manhattan can certainly be a splurge, so we appreciate knowing your stay felt worthwhile. We would be happy to host you both again on your next New York visit!

feel like a super star in NYC!
Hyatt Regency Times Square was the epitome of excellent service! Jose Flores, Brand Culture, gave my family the most sincere and warm welcome. It was the beginning of a whirlwind city adventure. Each evening we came back to our room cleaned and welcoming service at 48 restaurant. I very highly recommend this establishment and will stay again!

Location and Cleanliness are Great!
Great location very clean hotel and staff was all very helpful. The restaurant on premises was just ok. Did not like the fact that they did not always accept cash payment.

NY Broadway trip
Excellent location to see Broadway shows. We were traveling with elderly parents, and many of our destinations were within a few blocks. Rooms are big by NYC standards
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review

Nice Place
It was so convenient to walk out and get to where we needed to be for dinner, shows, shopping etc. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and kind. We arrived early our room wasn't available and after I told them we were there to celebrate my birthday I got an upgrade. Very nice, very clean will be returning again.
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
An upgrade for your birthday was a lovely way to begin the celebration, especially after arriving before your room was ready. Elizabeth, we are glad Hyatt Regency Times Square made getting to dinner and the rest of your plans so easy. The warm welcome from our team is something we take pride in. We are happy your room felt fresh and inviting, too. We look forward to welcoming you back for another visit! Warm regards, Alex K. Social Media Manager
Great hotel, great location
We stayed two nights with our teen daughter, were in town to see Harry Styles. Great location right off Times Square, walkable to Madison Square Garden, Rockefeller Center, MOMA, shopping, etc. Very nice, updated, clean rooms, easy check in/out. Liked that there was security checking IDs. Restaurant is beautiful and had reasonable happy hour drink and food pricing, great fries! Didn’t have time to use the gym but it looked nice also. Overall would recommend, will stay here again.
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
A Harry Styles weekend with your daughter sounds like a memorable trip, Gretchen, and being right by Times Square makes it easy to enjoy the city between plans. We are glad your room felt fresh and comfortable after busy days out. It is great to hear check-in and check-out were easy, and that our ID checks added reassurance. The restaurant’s happy hour and those fries clearly made a hit. We are glad the gym caught your eye, even if your schedule was too full to fit in a visit. We look forward to welcoming you back to Hyatt Regency Times Square for your next New York visit! Warm regards, Alex K. Social Media Manager
Mother-daughter trip to NYC
Recently stayed Thursday through Sunday in mid October with my 2 teenage daughters. I researched many hotels and I wanted something with a safe & central location, cleanliness (I don’t want to wonder if the linens were properly washed!!) and not too expensive (all things considered!). Best location —literally across the street from Broadway’s Ambassador Theatre! Quick 5 minute walk to Times Square! Hotel was very clean & surprisingly quiet considering how large of a hotel it is and in such a prime location. Room was very clean & well appointed. Bathroom had good lighting, make-up mirror, hair dryer & clothing steamer. Beds were comfortable and nightstand/dresser area had plenty of charging cord stations. Our last night in the city, we were pretty tired and opted to have dinner at the hotel. The food was delicious. Our final morning before heading to the airport, we had the buffet breakfast—it was great! Eggs, bacon, pancakes, pastries, coffee and fresh squeezed juice. I thought it was a bit on the pricer side, but it is NYC! Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a central location with quality amenities.

A mother-daughter weekend in New York is a special kind of trip, Jessica, and we are so glad Hyatt Regency Times Square gave your family a comfortable home base! Being so close to Broadway and Times Square made it easy to enjoy the city. We take pride in offering a calm, welcoming place amid the energy of the neighborhood, and we are happy the hotel felt clean and quiet during your stay. It is especially nice to know your room was comfortable and had thoughtful touches that made settling in easier. Dinner at the hotel on your final night sounds like a lovely way to wind down, and we are glad you enjoyed the meal. We are also pleased that breakfast helped start your last morning well. We appreciate your candid note that breakfast felt a bit pricey, and we have shared your perspective with the team responsible for that offering. We would be delighted to host you and your daughters again on a future visit!
Location, Location, Location
This is the place you want to stay to be in the middle of it all! Great location that is within walking distance to everything! Subway stops are right around the corner as well. Room was very quiet despite being right next to Times Square. Most important for me with the beds…10/10!
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
Being right in the middle of the action while still enjoying a quiet stay is a lovely combination. We are glad Hyatt Regency Times Square made it easy to explore on foot, with subway stops close by. It is especially nice to hear your room stayed peaceful beside Times Square. And a bed that earns a 10 out of 10 is a great way to recharge after a busy day. We hope to see you again on a future visit! Warm regards, Alex K. Social Media Manager
Top notch experience.
The hotel is very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. It was only a couple of blocks from Times Square and a short walk from the Broadway shows. There are plenty of dining options nearby. Central Park and Rockefeller Center are an easy walk as well. We felt completely safe in this hotel with lots of visible employees when you enter.

Good Experience and then Checkout happened
The room and stay were very nice until I went to the restaurant Cue48. There, we had very poor service, and when the bill came, they added an automatic 20% for a "Service fee" without mentioning it, and then still had a space for a tip. The first time, I tipped as I normally would because I didn't see that I was automatically charged for one. If you want to charge an extra 20% for services or tips, please just add it as a cost on the menu, right into the price of food and drinks. But quoting one price and then increasing it 20% without mentioning it to the guest is shady... especially when the service is poor. We often had to waive down the waiter to order another round of drinks, and to even be greeted one time after sitting. The second time I went to the restaurant, I sat for 10 minutes before I was greeted and offered a menu. Then, to make everything worse, the restaurant charged me $13.07 on my room bill for "Food and dining" at the restaurant even though I paid my bill via credit card. When I emailed them to remove it from my bill, silence. Nobody has contacted me about it. I would be very careful about staying here. The hotel is nice, but they need to check the staff at their restaurant, as I believe they are doing unethical things there.
Poorly run, mediocre facilities
Poor service, mediocre facilities and overall not value for money. Had agreed to have a cot bed for my toddler set up which was not set up and as a result my toddler and us didn't sleep the first night at all
General Manager, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Times Square, responded to this review
We are sorry the agreed cot arrangement was not in place, leaving your family without the rest you needed on the first night. A comfortable start matters even more when traveling with a toddler. Your comments about service and the property's offerings have been shared with the teams responsible for each area. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Warm regards, Alex K.
