Pet Policy
It is the policy of Hyatt Regency Chennai to allow pets in the hotel and at the same time maintain the safety, security and hygiene of the hotel and its guests
1. Weight Limit:
- Pets must not exceed a weight of 25kg.
2. Pet Types and Sizes:
- We welcome cats and dogs exclusively.
- For specific information about any limitations on particular dog breeds, kindly get in touch with the hotel.
3. Health and Vaccinations:
- All pets should be vaccinated and in good health.
- The hotel may ask for verification of up-to-date vaccinations.
4. Additional Charges:
- An extra fee of INR 2500+ Tax per PET per ROOM per NIGHT is applicable.
5. Pets per Room:
- Up to 2 pets are permitted in each room for the entire duration of the stay.
6. Room Service:
- Please note that room servicing will not be provided when pets are left unattended inside the room.
7. Bathing:
- Pets being bathed in the bathtub or sink may incur additional cleaning charges of INR 1500+ Tax.
8. Leash and Restraint:
- Pets should be leashed and under direct control at all times when outside your room or on hotel premises.
9. Amenities:
- The hotel offers a bed, food, and water bowl for your pets throughout the stay.
10. Restricted Areas:
- Pets are prohibited from entering the Food & Beverage outlets, Health Club, Spa, Swimming pool, Function spaces, and back-of-the-house areas.
11. Supervision:
- Pet custodians are required to be with their pets at all times and should not leave them unattended.
12. Damage Responsibility:
- Any harm inflicted on the hotel property by a pet will incur extra charges.
13. Hotel's Right of Admission:
- The hotel reserves the right to allow or deny admission to pets on the premises.
14. Disruption or Disturbance:
- If pets are found to cause disruption or disturbance to other guests, both the pet and their custodian may be requested to vacate the premises.
15. Harm:
- If a pet causes physical harm to guests, hotel associates, or themselves, the pet's custodian will be accountable for covering the medical expenses of the affected individual.
16. Lost Pets:
- The hotel will not be held liable for the loss of a pet on or off the premises.
Visitor Policy
a) Ensuring the safety and security of our guests is our top priority. All visitors may undergo security screening, and their presence should not raise concerns among other guests.
b) Guests who have officially checked in are accountable for the conduct and actions of their visitors.
c) Hyatt Regency Chennai is not liable for the actions or any injuries caused by visitors.
d) Visiting hours are from 08:00 Hrs. to 21:55 Hrs.
e) The hotel management maintains the authority to uphold these policies and may evict visitors or registered guests who fail to adhere to them, with no refund provided.
f) Any visitor coming to the hotel to meet a registered guest must present a photo identification proof at the reception desk
g) Associates are required to inform the registered guest of the visitor's presence and request permission to allow the visitor access to the guest's room.
h) After receiving approval from the registered guest to allow the visitor to the room, the guest should be informed about the disclaimer form for acknowledgment.
i) If there is no response from the room, the visitor should not be granted access to the guest's room.
j) All visitors arriving at the hotel to meet an In House guest are required to submit an Indian government-approved Photo ID Proof at the reception.
k) The associate assisting the visitor should provide a form for the visitor to fill out, ensuring all necessary details are completed by the visitor.
l) Visitors should be accompanied to the room by an associate who will carry the disclaimer form for acknowledgment from the in-house guest. The disclaimer form should clearly outline the hotel's visitor policy, including visitation time limits and the maximum number of guests allowed (not exceeding 2 visitors to a room). No visitors are permitted to stay in or visit the room after 22:00 hrs. Any visitor remaining beyond this time will incur an additional charge of INR 1500 + tax per person as an extra occupant in the room (with a maximum occupancy of 3 persons allowed in the room, including the in-house guest).
m) Only the visitor's name is required to be updated in the Property Management System (PMS) under 'accompany,' and the documents (Visitor form and ID proof) should be attached to the Guest Registration Card (GRC) of the In House Guest.
