Sustainability at our Hotel
We are committed to implementing initiatives that help advance sustainability throughout our operations. To advance collective action, we actively raise awareness among our colleagues and business partners about sustainable practices. Our property Green Team plays a crucial role in reinforcing these intiatives and monitor our performance in Hyatt’s EcoTrack tool.
Green Globe Certification award
Our property has been awarded the Green Globe Certification, a globally recognized standard for sustainable tourism. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact through energy efficiency, responsible waste management, and the use of locally sourced products. By integrating sustainable practices into daily operations, we continue to provide exceptional hospitality while caring for the community and the planet.
Climate Change and Water Conservation
- Our electricity is 100% renewable through our local electricity supplier.
- Over 90% of our hotel lighting has been upgraded to LED and we are working toward achieving 100%.
- We perform regular inspections and maintenance of key systems such as our heating, cooling, and pluming to advance energy and water efficiency.

Waste and Circularity
- We implemented a food waste tracking system, which helps us monitor the food waste generated in our restaurant. We use this data to develop new ways to refine how we serve food and reduce waste.
- We introduced a machine to dry fruits and vegetables that would be considered imperfect to serve as-is, allowing us to make full use of ingredients and further reduce food waste.
- We separate plastic, glass, and cardboard for recycling, and send food waste to composting.
- To minimize single-use plastics, we provide large-format bathroom amenities in all guest rooms and spa areas.

Our Food Philosophy
- We maintain beehives on the hotel rooftop in partnership with the Belgrade Beekeepers Association. Honey harvested from these hives is used in cakes, desserts, and served with a selection of teas. In addition to offering a unique local touch, urban beekeeping is a valuable part of biodiversity conservation efforts.
- We source our black Angus beef locally from a supplier who practices grass-fed and free-range farming methods.
- We strive to offer balanced meal options by focusing on fresh fruits and vegetables, which include organic options, healthy oils and fats, and whole grains. We work to provide dishes or modification opportunities to guests with dietary restrictions.
- Our dishes are inspired by local traditions, seasonal harvests, and partnerships with local businesses.Additionally, we grow fresh herbs on-site to enhance the flavors of our cuisine.
- We strive to work with businesses that embrace similar values to ours. When there is opportunity, we select suppliers that help uplift their community members and advance environmental best practices.
- We are committed to conserving energy and water by implementing practical measures such as operating kitchen equipment only when needed, ensuring refrigerators remain closed, and utilizing energy- and water-efficient appliances whenever possible.
