Highly recommend
Beautiful room. I was allowed to check in early, which was necessary for an international flight. The room was cleaned every day, and the hotel is in a safe neighborhood, within walking distance to everything!

No Need to Look Any Further While in Amsterdam
We had a wonderful, but short, stay at the hyatt Regency in Amsterdam. We were surprised with a room upgrade beyond the standard suite we had already booked and the room was wonderful. The location was in the heart of all we wanted to do and a short ride when we were ready to board our river cruise. The staff could have not been any friendlier and the breakfast was on par with our expectations, if not beyond. I would not hesitate recommended this hotel for your next stay in Amsterdam.

Good rooms and location - go out for breakfast!
Room and facilities are very high standard, location is great. Breakfast arrangements overly complex and not efficient if time is not your friend. Skip breakfast unless you have 40 mins.

Our first choice
This a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. We were able to leave our luggage before checking in. After check out we were able to leave our bags until mid-afternoon before leaving to embark on our cruise ship. The room was very comfortable and large by typical European standards.

Nice location and kind/helpful staff. Yes, it’s on the upper end of the budget, but they deliver in their service. Helped us parking the car. Helped us with our luggage. And always smile from everyone.

Mostly excellent, with one rough day and a room to avoid
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam in early September and had a mostly excellent experience, with one significant hiccup on our second day. We checked in quite late, around 11:30 pm. On the morning of day two, we had no hot water. Given the late check in, I do wonder whether the issue was already present when we arrived rather than starting fresh that morning. If so, it would have been worth a heads up at the front desk rather than us discovering it ourselves in the morning. We called the front desk and were told maintenance would come, but after 30-45 minutes no one had shown up, so I went down in person. Staff there weren't able to offer much beyond suggesting we use the spa showers. A short time later we were offered a room move, which we accepted, though while we were still waiting for new keys, a maintenance worker came to our door and, through a language barrier, seemed to be questioning why we hadn't left yet. That was an uncomfortable moment given we hadn't been given keys to the new one. The replacement room, while technically the same category, was a different experience entirely. It was noticeably smaller, with a window set high enough that the sill was above head height, and no real outlook, just sky and the top of the adjacent building. Between the size and the lack of light, it genuinely felt closed in, almost like being in a windowless closet with a small opening near the ceiling. If this had been the room we were originally booked into, we would not have stayed. It just would not have felt right for the price or the experience we were expecting. One thing worth flagging for future guests, independent of the water issue: room quality at this property seems to vary a lot, and "same category" does not necessarily mean a comparable room. It is worth asking at check-in, or requesting in advance, what floor and window situation you are getting. To the hotel's credit, once I raised this with the front office team, they responded seriously. They apologized, listened to the full account, and refunded the full point value of the affected night rather than a token gesture. That kind of follow-through matters and reflects well on the team, even though the original service recovery in the moment fell short. Overall: a well located, comfortable hotel with a front office team that takes feedback seriously. Just be aware that if something does go wrong, the in-the-moment response may be slower than you'd expect from a property at this level, and it's worth asking about your room's view, and any known issues, before you settle in.

Nice hotel - location eh...
Very nice upscale hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming. However its.located right next to the university so there are.alot if students all over the place and the restaurants in the area were not really the kind for tourists. There is a.grocery store across the street for snacks and drinks.

Great hotel, great location
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. In the city, accessible to everything, but removed from the tourist craziness just a short walk (or metro stop or two) away. I've stayed here for work many times and recently brought my family as well, and they enjoyed their stay. The gym and spa are excellent bonuses.

Beautiful hotel
We got 2 adjoining rooms for family of 4 with a suite and twin bed room. Rooms were spacious, spotless and beautiful. We got free club access associated with a Regency suite. Variety selection of food for breakfast. Closed to tram connected to city. Would love to stay here again!

Excellent experience
The room was spacious, meticulously clean, had every amenity desired and a comfortable bed. I loved the big windows which let in a lot of light. The staff was extraordinarily kind and accommodating, I felt so comfortable from check in till check out. The location is great, in that there is a grocery store and ATM right across the street and it's a short cab/Uber/lyft ride to most anywhere. The hotel also offers to arrange bike rentals, if desired. The rooms are quiet, too. Overall excellent experience and highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel in great location, quiet residential neighborhood, very close metro and tram stops and the Albert Heijn grocery right across the street. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and very nice, the club lounge was easy, delicious and never too full - a life saver with two hungry teen boys along.

Third or fourth time we have stayed here. Great location. Regency club is also good. Spa and workout room is excellent. Bar has a good selection at agreeable prices. Breakfast is sumptuous.

Terrific hotel in a great location in Amsterdam
The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the tram and train station, and is walkable to many sites. Rooms are much larger than typical European rooms, and the customer service was outstanding. The club lounge breakfast is a little lacking, but overall, I can highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam.

Nice hotel
Really nice hotel located in a quite area yet pretty close to many attractions. Coffee and croissant and wine in evening were a nice added touch. Located close to the metro and light rail lines.

Great stay at the Hyatt Regency in Amsterdam
I enjoyed a great stay here for 4 nights. The staff was very welcoming at check-in. I declined the offer for a late checkout as I had no need this time, but good to keep in mind for the future. Staff throughout is super nice and helpful. The room was excellent, very clean. Also, super quiet, did not hear anything, either from outside or inside. This hotel is also super convenient for local public transportation in Amsterdam, just a few minutes walking from the subway and tram stops.

Perfect Stay in a Peaceful Corner of Amsterdam
We had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam and would gladly return. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The location was ideal as it was close enough to easily reach all of Amsterdam's major attractions, even by foot, yet tucked away from the crowds in a peaceful neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the local restaurants nearby, which gave us a chance to experience a quieter side of the city. One highlight was the breakfast. It was an excellent way to start each day, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options, and a friendly and attentive staff. If you're booking a stay, I highly recommend upgrading to include breakfast. It was well worth it. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel that combines outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and a perfect location. We would definitely stay here again.

Best choice for hotel in AMS
Excellent everything, hotel location is very convenient and walking distance from center city. The staff were very friendly and the food was pretty good.
