Check-in Policies
Check-in time is 3 PM, and checkout time is noon. Early check-in or late checkout is subject to availability and may incur an additional cost.
Upon arrival at the hotel, guests are required to check in properly with the front desk staff and complete all formalities for their overnight or day stay.
The booker (the person who made the reservation) must present a valid passport or ID upon check-in. The hotel is legally required to record certain details from the booker’s identity document. This requirement applies for accompanying partners, minors, and/or travel groups.
Credit/Debit Card for Incidentals
A Credit Card guarantee or a Debit Card deposit is required upon arrival.
Smoking Policy
In accordance with Dutch law, smoking (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited in all enclosed public spaces, the hospitality sector, and workplaces in the Netherlands. Therefore, all guestrooms at Hyatt Regency Amsterdam are non-smoking.
A cleaning fee of €250 will be charged for smoking in your room.
Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor smoking areas.
Children's Accommodation
- Children aged 0-2 stay for free in their parents' room.
- A free cot is available upon request.
- Children aged 3-12 may stay in their parents' room.
- Children aged 12 and above are charged adult pricing.
- An extra bed is available upon request, subject to availability. A charge of €75 per night applies.
City Tax
In 2025, the city tax for visitors to Amsterdam is 12.5% of the overnight rate, excluding VAT.
Accessible Room / Connecting Room
Hyatt Regency Amsterdam offers one accessible King Room.
Multiple room types offer connecting possibilities that can be requested upon booking (King with Twin / Suite King with Twin) but cannot be guaranteed.
Spa & Fitness
The Spa & Fitness area is not supervised, and use is at your own risk.
- Wearing bathing attire is required to enter the spa.
- Pregnant women and persons suffering from any medical conditions or impairments should not use the sauna or steam room without prior medical consultation and permission from their doctor.
- No child under the age of 16 may use the facilities unless accompanied by a parent or adult guardian and no child under the age of 12 may use the facilities at any time.
- Do not use the sauna or steam room while under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or other drugs that cause sleepiness, drowsiness or raise or lower blood pressure.
- Do not exceed 15 continuous minutes. Overexposure to heat may cause nausea, dizziness and fainting. Symptoms vary according to a person's body weight.
- Ensure you drink enough water to avoid dehydration.
- Allow at least 5 minutes after exercising to cool down before entering the sauna or steam room.
- Enter and exit slowly.
- Keep all breakable objects, soaps, shaving cream, razors and electrical appliances out of the area.
- Do not leave valuables unattended. The Hotel is not responsible for loss, damage or theft of personal property.
- Shower before entering.
- In case of an emergency, dial ‘0’ to reach the hotel reception.
- The telephone is located at the entrance of the Gym/Spa.
In-room Policy
For your traveling convenience, there is a personal digital safe located inside your wardrobe. We recommend that guests keep all of their valuables in the safe in their room, as the hotel is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
In case of any property damage, guest(s) responsible will have to pay compensation for the damage caused in accordance with hotel rules.
Dog Policy
At Hyatt Regency Amsterdam, dogs are more than welcome. No matter your reason of visit, rest assured that your furry friend will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay with our special pet amenities.
We are happy to welcome your four-legged friend in our Mama Makan restaurant and bar, and lobby, however we kindly ask that they be on a leash at all times. In our fitness center, sauna, recharge room and Regency Club, dogs are not allowed.
For the stay of your dog, a fee of €45 per stay will be charged.
