Pets are not allowed, with the exception of service animals. Service animals are welcome and not subject to the pet policy.
No. Grand Hyatt Washington is a 100% smoke-free property with smoking permitted only in designated outdoor smoking areas. A penalty fee will apply for any violations to this policy.
We encourage our guests to take personal video or still photographs while enjoying your visit for noncommercial purposes. To ensure enjoyment of all our guests, a written permission from the hotel is required to utilize our hotel property (indoor/outdoor) for professional portrait photography or videography purposes, including but not limited to wedding, engagement, class, family and individual portraits, advertising photography and model/fashion shoots. Kindly note that unauthorized professional photographers/videographers will be asked to secure their gear immediately. Yes, shipments to and from the hotel are handled by our onsite Fedex Business Center. Please note that receiving and handling fees may incur depending on the weight of packages. The hotel is not responsible for costs associated with receiving, processing, handling, and delivering packages to you.
Hotel Experience & General Information
Due to transformations of our on-property restaurants starting November 10, dining is limited to in-room options, Grand & Go snacks, bites, and beverages, as well as select hors d'oeuvres at our Lobby Bar. We also encourage you to explore our list of local dining recommendations, which includes over 100 restaurants ranging from cafes and quick bites to upscale and fine dining establishments. Renovations to Grand Hyatt Washington’s meeting spaces will take place November 10, 2025 through January 19, 2026 during the hours of 9AM-5PM, daily, with careful measures taken to ensure there are minimal interruptions to guest stays. Oribu Restaurant will open April 30, 2026.
Between November 10, 2025 – January 18, 2026, restaurant dining will temporarily be unavailable. Guests can continue to enjoy in-room dining and our full-service Starbucks, which will remain fully operational throughout the renovation period. Grand & Go snacks, bites, and beverages, as well as select hors d'oeuvres at our Lobby Bar, will also be available. Grand Club will continue to be fully operational during this period as well for guests who have booked a club room or through their loyalty status. For guests interested in maintaining their fitness routine, our 24-hour fitness center will remain open as well.
