Vail Mountain’s Chair 20 lift offers effortless ski-in/ski-out access, so you can spend more time on the slopes and less time in transit. Simply glide out, hop on the lift, and you’re on your way to exploring Vail’s world-class terrain.
Guests can choose from a variety of beginner, intermediate, and expert trails that lead right back to the resort—making your return as seamless as your start. Chair 20, operated by Vail Resorts, connects you to the mountain’s signature experiences, including routes to Lionshead and access to Chair 26 for a scenic ride up to Eagle’s Nest.
Please note: Chair 20 operates seasonally, with winter opening and closing dates determined by Vail Resorts based on snow conditions and safety. It does not run during the summer months.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available based on hotel occupancy; please contact the hotel in advance to arrange. Some fees apply.

Vail and Lionshead Villages are located just over 1 mile away from Grand Hyatt Vail. The resort offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Villages from 8am – 10pm with online tracking to view active shuttle locations. In spring, summer, and fall seasons guests can enjoy walking or biking along the that Gore Creek path to the Villages.
Yes! Guests can ship personal items to Grand Hyatt Vail including ski equipment, oversized bags and more. You can review our Package Handling policy on the Hotel Policies page.
Rooms & Amenities
Every guest room at Grand Hyatt Vail Resort includes a beverage cooler for your convenience. If you require a fridge below 40 degrees, one can be provided for a 1-time $35 fee.
Yes! We offer a variety of connecting rooms, based on availability when reserved in advance. For even more space, Grand Hyatt Vail suites can also connect to standard guestrooms, making them a great option for families who want to stay together comfortably.
Yes, Rollaway beds are available for $55 per night. Some guestrooms do not accommodate a rollaway. Please contact the resort for more information.

As the closest airport access to Grand Hyatt Vail, Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) is 33 miles away. For guests flying into Denver, Denver International Airport (DEN) offers extensive network of domestic and international routes as well we shuttle access for the 2-hour scenic drive to the mountains.

Yes, enjoy daily shuttle service that takes guests back and forth from the hotel to Vail Village and Lionshead throughout the day. Hours: 8am – 10pm (hours may vary, per season; check with guest services)

Hotel Facilities
Spa facilities are available with any booked treatment or with purchase of a day pass to access the locker room, steam, sauna, Swiss (cold) shower, showers and relaxation lounge.
Reservations are not required for Gessner or Gore Creek Market, but highly recommended for dining Makoto Vail.
Yes, Grand Hyatt Vail pool has a heated, outdoor pool and two large outdoor hot tubs.
Yes, reservations are necessary for cabana and daybeds at Grand Hyatt Vail pool between Memorial Day and Labor Day and available to book online here.
On-site ski valet including equipment rentals, boot warming prior to your day on the mountain, and gear storage for a mid-day pit stop or après ski relaxation. Fees apply.

Yes, connecting rooms and family suites are available to book online or by contacting Grand Hyatt Vail Resort to plan a comfortable stay with more space.
Cribs, highchairs, Kids menus, in-room tent (rental), cotton candy machine, snow cones at pool (seasonal), s’mores, hot cocoa (seasonal), classes for tie dye, survival bracelet making and geode breaking.
Grand Hyatt Vail Resort offers a great selection of activities for kids of all ages including an arcade and game room with video games, books and foosball table, TopGolf Swing Suite which can be reserved for family games, and year-round activities including family movie nights, ski school and snowy activities in winter and much more.
The hotel has 10 meeting spaces and 40,000 square feet of meeting space. The group and events team handles wedding, groups and both on site and local events.

Pets
Your four-legged family members are welcome at our dog-friendly hotel. Grand Hyatt Vail room bookings will be assessed a non-refundable pet fee of $150 for stays up to 6 nights, and an additional non-refundable fee of $50 for deep cleaning fees from 7 + nights, per stay. Dogs may not exceed 70 pounds, limit two dogs allowed, per room, per night.

Dog beds and water bowls available upon request for every stay. Over summer season at Grand Hyatt Vail, guests are invited to experience our popular Yappy Hour and take home a complimentary bandana and portable dog water bowl for your pup when you join us! We offer a variety of healthy drinks and snacks for dogs to enjoy, and don't worry - drinks available for humans, too.
