Reservations are now being taken for the spring menu at the restaurant. Enjoy a variety of Park Hyatt Kyoto's unique gastronomic delights using an abundance of ingredients that bring out the colors of spring.
Lunch or dinner and a tea ceremony experience at the Soyotei restaurant will be offered exclusively to guests of the hotel. Kyoyamato has been in operation for seven generations since the early Meiji period, and the historical architecture and Japanese garden of its predecessor, Suikokan, have been preserved and restored. The cuisine is a unique kaiseki cuisine of Michelin-starred Kyoto, and this plan is available only for guests staying at the Soyotei, which is of great historical value.
Guests will enjoy the unique experience of staying at Park Hyatt Kyoto, where a historic ryotei restaurant coexists with the hotel.

Limited special seats tickets for Jidai Matsuri for guests who stays more than 2 night frorm 22nd at any room and guest who stay in a suite room on 21st or 22nd.
Jidai Matsuri is one of the three major festivals in Kyoto and approximately 2,000citizens will parade through the streets of Kyoto dressed in period costumes from the Meiji Restoration Period to the Enryaku Period when Heian-kyo was built.
Guests, will be provided with tickets to view the parade from special seats.
Enjoy the breathtaking procession from special seats. The procession lasts about 2km long and showcases beautiful costume from various period from 1000 years of history of Kyoto.

From Wednesday 4 January to Sunday 15 January 2023, Park Hyatt Kyoto will be selling Galette des Rois, a traditional French pastry to celebrate the New Year.
The "fève", which is said to bring happiness, is made by Asahiyaki, a 400-year-old pottery in Uji, Kyoto, and the Galette des Rois is made with almond cream made according to a traditional recipe and topped with rare Tanba chestnuts and yuzu (citron) from Mizuo, Kyoto.
The Park Hyatt Kyoto original Galette des Rois, a perfect combination of traditional French culture and the essence of Kyoto, is available in a limited edition of 50 units. Reservations can be made online.

This summer Park Hyatt Kyoto is offering a special stay package that includes tickets to the Gion Festival, considered by many to be one of the three major festivals in Japan.
For the first time in three years, the festival will be held in its original form, with special seating for the Yamahoko procession, the highlight of the festival. Spend a memorable summer day experiencing the history of Kyoto while watching the Yamahoko procession, which is also called a "moving museum".

The 2 year Anniversary Exhibition
To commemorate the second anniversary of the opening of the hotel, a photo exhibition will be held from October 30 until November 30, 2021 by Mr. Shumpei Ohsugi, a popular photographer who has been taking pictures for Park Hyatt Kyoto for the past three years. The exhibition will feature 30 beautiful images that capture a moment in time, showcasing the seasonal beauty of Higashiyama and the various traditional craftsmen and women who partner with Park Hyatt Kyoto to support the rich culture of Kyoto.

Shumpei Ohsugi
Born in Tokyo in 1982, Shumpei Ohsugi later studied photography and art in London. Collaborating with various domestic and international brands and taking promotional photos for hundreds of actors and companies, his work has been featured everywhere from magazines and catalogues to television and online. In 2020, he was awarded the Public Prize at "THE EDITORS PHOTO AWARD ZOOMS JAPAN 2020" organized by CP+, after receiving the most votes from the public. "I have been shooting at the Park Hyatt Kyoto since before it opened and I use LEICA consistently in my photography, because I believe it captures the beauty and warmth of the atmosphere there. With this photography project, I believe there will be new discoveries and experiences waiting for us and I look forward to spending time with everyone.”

"Capture a Timeless Moment" stay plan

Participants of the "Capture a Timeless Moment" campaign will take to the streets of Kyoto with a Leica, the camera of choice for photographers worldwide, around their neck and a professional photographer by their side. With the personal guidance of a seasoned professional, participants will learn how to use a Leica camera to take pictures of the surrounding natural landscape, the changing of the seasons and other subjects that may usually escape their notice. This is a journey of self-reflection.

Mr. Shumpei Ohsugi, a renowned photographer and Leica camera user himself, will be the personal guide for this 3-day, 2-night plan, which includes a photography session using the Leica Q2 compact digital camera, one of the most respected cameras in the photography world.
On the first day, participants will enjoy a personalized photography experience through Kyoto and visit the Leica Store Kyoto in Gion to discover the world of Leica. On the second day, there will be a hand-printing workshop at the world's only collotype printing company, Benrido, which receives recognition from photographers and artists around the world. At the end of the day, participants will be presented with a framed copy of their favorite image.

After arriving at Soyotei, guests are greeted with a refreshing seasonal fruit cocktail combining vodka with seasonal fruit.
The Gardens
A collaboration between Park Hyatt Kyoto and Kyoyamato, two types of cocktails were created to represent the changing seasons and the gardens that reflect the colors of those seasons. These cocktails feature Park Hyatt Kyoto's original gin "Kinobi Seiryu" produced by Kyoto Distillery while ingredients indigenous to Kyoto are also incorporated.
The KYOTO Experience
A drink prepared to encourage guests to enjoy the timeless scenery such as Yasaka Pagoda, the shared gardens, and beautiful Kyoto skyline from Soyotei. This cocktail features Matsumoto Brewery Shuhari ID591 (original to Park Hyatt Kyoto) and combines seasonal citrus with Japanese spirits TUMUGI and Maraschino.
The Last Samurai
The last cocktail is the signature cocktail of Kohaku. This cocktail boasts a rich flavor and is based on the 20-year aged Dictador combined with Hojicha and vermouth. It is a cocktail fit for the Samurai warriors who fought during the Meiji Restoration.

In the 8th CRAFTS NIGHT on October 9, 2020, Hosai Matsubayashi, the 16th master of Asahiyaki (a family owned pottery in Uji, Kyoto) welcomed a special guest, Yuki Nara, an architect whose father is the 11th generation of Ohi-yaki Chozaemon of Ohi-yaki Pottery with a 350-year history. They discussed the theme “Beyond borders”.
