Those looking for the latest and greatest when it comes to après-ski won’t be disappointed if they decide to kick up their ski boots at Grand Hyatt Vail (formerly Hotel Talisa) at day’s end, thanks to the hotel’s brand new, ski-in, ski-out yurt (open 4 to 8:30 p.m. daily). Although, the amenities at the Grand Hyatt’s pop-up lodge are a little more luxe than your standard backcountry abode. Think of it as a happy hour base camp; you can snuggle inside the yurt—which comes decked out with plush couches and a bartender—for a cocktail tasting (or sip on a cup of peppermint schnapps-spiked hot cocoa), or mingle by the fire pits just outside. There’s also skate rentals for guests to channel their inner Dorothy Hamill and hit the local ice—plus, live music, s’mores, and complimentary cookies and hot cocoa (served from 4 to 5:30 p.m. daily).
Grand Hyatt Vail, Gessner, and The Spa were featured on two other publications: So Scottsdale and Uptown Magazine. Champagne in a Yurt- Grand Hyatt Vail
The Grand Hyatt Vail has a multitude of champagne-inspired offerings. From champagne vending machines to daily champagne sabering, complete with complimentary tastings of Möet, the bubbly is flowing at this Colorado ski in/ski out luxury resort. But new to the mountain this winter, the hotel is launching libation experiences in a yurt.
The yurt will be affixed on the new Grand Hyatt Plaza, and be accompanied by an ice skating rink and outdoor fire pits. The yurt will be home to mixology tastings and champagne programming, putting a twist on the typical happy hour.

Vail Snow Daze is a four day celebration of winter in the Rocky Mountains. The festival returns to Vail December 12, 2019 through December 15, 2019 with four days of free concerts, a lively exposition village, after-dark parties, family-friendly specials, and resort activations. Modest Mouse performs Friday, December 13, followed by The Head and the Heart on Saturday, December 14. The concerts are free and feature a wide variety of food and beverage offerings at Ford Park. Town of Vail shuttle service will be offered from the Vail Village transportation center and Grand Hyatt Vail will provide guests shuttle service to the transportation center.
