FAQs

Q: Can I host a morning-after brunch at the hotel? 

A: Certainly. We will be more than happy to discuss with you the appropriate options. 

Q: Can I create my own menu? 

A: Of course. We offer a wide variety of options to suit all personal preferences however if our existing menus do not meet your requirements, our experienced team will be happy to work with you to create your perfect menu. 

Q: Do I get a menu tasting included in my package? 

A: Of course. We recommend scheduling a complete tasting of all selected menu items 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding day. At that time, we can easily make any necessary adjustments. 

Q: Can my guests have a late check-out the morning after the wedding? 

A: The hotel’s check out time is 11:00am. We will of course try and accommodate your guests’ requests, however this will depend on the hotel’s occupancy on the day in question. 

Q: Is parking available for my guests? 

A: Yes, 200 off-street car spaces surrounding Hyatt Hotel Canberra are available however are subject payment Monday to Friday from 8:30am until 5:30pm. These spots are free on Saturday and Sunday. Guests can also use our valet car parking service at a rate of $35.00. 

Q: What about if I have guests who want to stay in the hotel, is there a special rate? 

A: Yes, we offer a special wedding rate to guests attending wedding celebrations. A rate will be given at the time of contract and is subject to availability. 

Q: Is there a restriction to the size of band I can have? 

A: No, there are no restrictions on the size of band you choose for your wedding. 

Q: Can I extend my booking past midnight? 

A: Our functions must conclude at 11pm due to the close proximity to guest rooms. However Speaker’s Corner Bar is open till 1am should you and your guests wish to continue celebrating. 

Q: Can I arrange early check-in and/or late check-out for my accommodation? 

A: A request for early check-in can certainly be noted in your booking however please be aware that it will be subject to availability. Late check-out is included in your wedding night accommodation package until 2pm. 

Q: Can we have a ceremony at the hotel? 

A: Yes, we have a range of spaces for a ceremony only booking. Please contact us for further details.
