Lived up to expectations - really a beautiful and special place with great attention to detail and wanting to ensure each guest experience was a great one

Not your typical resort. Very unique place featuring large room with in room fireplaces, extensive balconies, walking trails, exceptional food and first class service!

Quiet resort with clean rooms, friendly staff, various activities, and a good restaurant. The location is quite nice nestled in the hills.

Not the best experience went there to propose to my girlfriend on multiple occasions I let the front desk know that we will be arriving andthe surprise is to stay only for one night to not let us know that we’re staying for two I called three times to make sure that they knew that was a surprise. They assured me that it would be right when I arrive to check in immediately they say you’re staying for two nights, ruining the surprise and ruining the proposal there was nothing doneto kind of make up for that. If anything nothing done at all just for proposing in general the staff wasn’t very friendly. Let us in wrong direction a couple times when asking for directions the food not great. Our friends tried sending us champagne for our proposal to celebrate it eventually arrived but with a lot of difficulty, and then thehotel, then tried to take credit for something. Our friends did not a great experience at all

What a beautiful hillside location, part oak forest and part vineyard. Wonderful attentive staff. Spacious suite, comfortable bed, cozy robe and slippers to use. We came for a September wedding, and noticed a few more dogs and preschoolers than we expected. Very accommodating if that's who you travel with. Not sure why I found it so charming to have a bottle filler by the valet stand, but it sure was handy to know where to get fresh filtered water at all times!

Beautiful setting located in a terrain consisting of an interlocking mosaic of chaparral and California oak woodland. The local trails provide amazing views. Some rooms feel like small condos. Wild deer and turkeys frequently visited the area around our room. Shuttle service is easy and convenient. The Loge restaurant menu needs a little more variety. Pool and spa at the lodge are first class. Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not interested in golf but I think golfers would love this place. The fitness center was four stars. They board a variety of farm animals at the corral located at the property's upper elevation. I appreciated the enthusiasm of the staff working at the corral.

Terrible experience two times in a row. Non-working shower. No hot water, stinky shower, foam like substance on the floor, "engineering" claims to fix but doesn't. Finally moved rooms. Super stressful. Don't recommend.

it’s very relaxing, lots of exercise and yoga activities, beautiful rooms, great swimming pool, and hot tub. overall. I really love this place

Stayed one night in the Lucia suite. The room, and especially the bathroom was amazing. Luxurious and so relaxing. The grounds were so beautiful and well maintained, while still letting nature prevail. I do not golf, so I don't really care about that. But I am sure that is nice as well. Food and room service was great, and the girl running the market place was extremely efficient and professional. Oh and the coffee was great as well. I scheduled a massage appointment with Alison at the Spa, which was exactly what I needed after a long day of driving up and down the coast. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub in the morning, which was perfect as I was the only one. Tip for anyone not liking crowds. Can't wait to come back and stay for a couple of days.

The amenities were lovely. From entering the property the first time, our toddler was enamored by the water feature by the front and had his eye on the swing that we always saw kids enjoying. The staff helped us unload our luggage right into our rooms which was so helpful and appreciated. The suite (a complimentary upgrade we would consider reserving for ourselves next time) - was so well thought out in terms of layout and spacious and I loved how convenient it was for kids and pets - we brought our cat along! The floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom that looked out to trees and the balcony were so nice (along with the black out curtains - essential for kids who still nap). Our toddler really enjoyed the golf cart rides and the little ranchers farm experience (golf carts are complimentary, little ranchers we booked in advance for a fee). (The little hat and bandana were such nice touches at the ranch experience!). Location was great. Safeway is nearby. Monterey Bay Aquarium not too far away either (half hour drive). Oh and at the restaurant near the lobby, the starters were so good. Anything with dairy in it (including the strawberry sundae for dessert) was so good. We ate there twice! Special shout out to the goat cheese they make on property and the honey. I loved every starter that featured either of those things. The New York strip loin was the favorite main course we tried!
