Great location with very courteous staff. The grounds are quite beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. Breakfast pastries and fruits were exceptional. The rest of the breakfast was just OK. Service is slow for hot items made to order and since it's Kyoto it is well worth it to get out early so we were often rushed to finish the breakfast. While the room is well appointment and had a nice view and probably quite spacious by Japanese standards it was quite a tight fit for our family of four (king bed +rollaway). I would say for that reason it probably isn't worth the nightly price.

PH Kyoto measures up to its hype and expectations. I stayed at other luxury hotels during my trip in Japan but there's something very unique and special about PH Kyoto that stood out the most. You just have to experience it yourself.

We had a wonderful stay at Park Hyatt Kyoto. The room was exceptionally comfortable and spotless, and the gym, sauna and jacuzzi facilities were excellent. The location was also fantastic. But what truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. From the moment we arrived at the drop-off area to check-in and throughout our stay, the entire team was incredibly warm, attentive and welcoming. A special thank you to Billy, Victoria and the charming French gentleman (apologies for not remembering his name!), as well as the entire concierge team and everyone who made our stay so memorable. Such an amazing team and truly outstanding hospitality. We can't wait to be back!

This luxury boutique hotel exceeded expectations. It’s perfectly nestled amongst the bustling quaint lanes of old Kyoto and has been designed to create a quiet, zen haven. The rooms are beautiful and well appointed with comfortable beds. The real treat is the staff who are exceptional and made our stay truly magical.

Absolutely unforgettable zen experience in amazing Higashiyama location! From the moment you enter the driveway, instantly you know you’re somewhere special. There is so much attention to detail in the construction, decor, and service. One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had at Kyoto Bistro - every dish, down to fruits and granola, were done with such restraint in seasoning to highlight the flavors in each food. As Globalist, we were fortunate to be upgraded to a beautiful garden terrace room - sometimes I just stared out the window at the zen garden and rock wall! Also great hot tub / cold plunge experience - that cold plunge is no joke but it feels oddly good after each hot tub soak. Kudos to all the Park Hyatt Kyoto staff who do so much to ensure an amazing stay!

What an incredible retreat! From the moment that we literally arrived on property, we were greeted as though we were royalty. The staff knew who we were and we felt so welcome and spoiled. I cannot express how fabulous this property and its special team is overall. It is my new gold standard as it is a gorgeous property in stunning Kyoto and the outside is just as special as those inside.

This was, to date, the best hotel stay we have ever had. We came with high expectations after readind reviews about how luxurious Park Hyatt Kyoto was. We were even told that this was the best Park Hyatt in the collection. They were not wrong. Despite feeling like we knew what to expect, they still managed to exceed our expectations. The grounds were immaculately kept, and the hotel itself felt brand new while still capturing the style and character of old Gion. Everything was beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly well cared for. The staff was also next-level—attentive and thoughtful without ever being in your face. I’m almost embarrassed to say everything the housekeeping staff did for us, but they truly went above and beyond in ways we never expected. I feel so lucky that we were able to celebrate both a milestone birthday and our anniversary here. The staff made it even more special with thoughtful treats and a bottle of champagne. We’ve been fortunate to stay at some wonderful hotels, but this one was truly special. It will be very hard to top Park Hyatt Kyoto.

Once in a lifetime experience. It was a dream come true, I felt so special here. Perfect location in Kyoto, walking distance to many Shines and Temples. I made sure my trip to Japan included a stay at the Park Hyatt Kyoto, especially after Tokyo’s hustle and bustle. Highly recommended

Park Hyatt is a great gem in the Gion district. Situated in a charming and picturesque area it was a wonderful stay for the last leg of our Japan visit. It is a bit farther from the main parts of Kyoto where restaurants were open later for dinner, but everything was a quick cab ride away. For lunch there are some great hidden restaurants to explore which were walkable from the hotel. There were also some great cultural sites within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself was fantastic, with very comfortable and modern rooms and great amenities. Also loved the great views as we made our way to and from our room, but what stands out the most is the impeccable and friendly service. Ending our Japan visit at the PH was perfect as it gave us the opportunity to unwind, and relax before heading home. Highly recommend staying here!
