The theater was built in 1834 and opened as the Grand Théâtre des Théâtre Royal Français. The building currently has approximately 900 seats. The theater still houses its original stage technology from 1834 and, due to planned modernization of its technical systems, has been listed as one of Europe's endangered cultural monuments since 2014.

Bourlaschouwburg

Since 1988, the Flemish opera houses of Antwerp and Ghent have been merged and share an orchestra, chorus, and ensemble. The current building of the Royal Flemish Opera Antwerp was opened in 1907. Its neo-Baroque style is the work of Alexis van Mechelen and Emiel van Averbeke, and it seats approximately one thousand people.

Vlaamse Opera

It is one of the 5 most beautiful train stations in the world and is located right next to the hotel and the zoo. Because of its enormous dome, which is 75 meters high, it is also known by the people of Antwerp as the "Railway Cathedral".

The Toneelhuis is Flanders' largest urban theater and a house of contrasts, a meeting place for original artists, artistic disciplines, and an extremely diverse audience. Located in the historic Bourlaschouwburg in the heart of Antwerp, the Toneelhuis is home to a multitude of directors and theater producers who create modern and innovative works with an international flair. Their artistic diversity reflects the variety of positions and opinions that shape our time and society. The "Toneelhuismakers" create their performances not only for the Bourlaschouwburg, but also for other venues and theaters in the Netherlands and abroad.

This magnificent square near the harbor is surrounded by guildhalls dating from the 16th and 17th centuries and the imposing town hall. The Brabo Fountain stands in the center of the square. In winter, a festive Christmas market attracts visitors.

Groenplaats und Grote Markt

The church was built between 1491 and 1656 in the Brabantine Gothic style and was intended to represent the prosperity of citizens, merchants, and nobles. To this end, the church tower was designed to be taller than that of the Cathedral of Our Lady.

The well-known and extensive shopping street leads from the Central Station into the historic city center of Antwerp and is surrounded by beautiful historic buildings.

Middelheimmuseum

The impressive MAS building offers breathtaking views of the city, the Scheldt River, and the port. It houses a museum with approximately 470,000 objects and a visible storage facility, covering the city, the port of Antwerp, and shipping. The museum square with its Luc Tuymans mosaic, the pedestrian boulevard, and the rooftop panorama are also worth seeing. The MAS is a complete experience.

ModeMuseum

After a construction period of 169 years (1352 to 1521), the 123-meter-high Cathedral of Our Lady was opened as the largest Gothic building in the Netherlands at the time. Here you can admire a multitude of artworks by many artists, including Peter Paul Rubens. He was also the creator of the striking exhibits in the church: the "Raising of the Cross" and the "Descent from the Cross."
