Today visitors escape to the iconic Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, located on Jamboree Road adjacent to the Upper Newport Beach Nature Reserve, Back Bay View Park and the Back Bay Science Center. Nestled amongst 26 acres of plush and mature landscaping, with over 50 species of palm trees, rose garden and succulent garden, the property is a toast to the Southern California topography creating a refreshing atmosphere.
The nearest beach is Newport Dunes and is a short walk from the hyatt regency Newport Beach. Balboa island is one-mile and an easy walk from the hotel. Newport harbor is 2 miles from the hotel and offers boat rentals, whale watching and water sports.

The resort has a robust family activity calendar, three pools and hot tubs, bike rentals, pickleball, fire pits, beach activities and fine dining.
Visitors to Newport Beach like to experience Disneyland, shopping destinations include south coast plaza shopping and fashion island, Newport Beach Harbor, Newport beaches the Sherman library and gardens and more.
Our restaurants, Shor and the Newporter Lounge are local favorites and top rated. There are several fine dining restaurants in Newport Beach and nearby Corona Del Mar.
Reservations are recommended for Shor. Other outlets may accept walk-ins but can have wait times during peak periods.

Outside items are generally not permitted in hotel restaurants or public food service areas for health and safety reasons.

There is a mini fridge in every guest room for your convenience. We also have a grab and go market in the lobby that stocks snacks, treats, breakfast items, and a wide range of beverages, including wine.

For your convenience, there are three airports nearby. John Wayne (5 to 10 minutes), long beach (60 minutes) Los Angeles international (75 minutes).

Walking and biking are ideal for beach, Balboa Island and Newport Harbor. For longer trips, rideshare, taxi, or rental car are convenient. Sixt Rent the Car is available on site.
Hyatt regency Newport beach is one of the closest beach hotels to Disneyland and is about 30 minutes away.
Ride share services, taxis and rental cars are the most convenient way to get to Disneyland. Our Concierge can also assist with private transportation or recommend local providers.

All three pools are heated and are open daily from 7am to 10pm.
We do not have a spa on property, but our front desk can recommend day spas in the areas.

Check-in requires a government-issued photo ID and credit card; an incidental hold may be authorized.

Non-refundable reservations are subject to the hotel’s cancellation policy. If canceled within the allowed window, guests receive a full refund of the deposit. Outside the window, one-night room + tax or the full stay may be charged. This ensures clarity for guests booking at our resort.

A one-night room + tax deposit is charged at booking to guarantee your stay, with full prepayment sometimes required 24 hours prior depending on the rate. The hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Diners Club and Hyatt gift cards may also be applied at checkout. Third-party payments (such as payments from travel agencies or another individual) may be accepted on a case-by-case basis; Traveler’s checks are not accepted. No, the hotel does not provide currency exchange services. Guests traveling internationally are encouraged to exchange currency prior to arrival at this resort.
Acceptable forms of ID include U.S. state driver’s license, government-issued ID, passport, passport card, military ID, or valid foreign passport. Expired or fraudulent IDs are not accepted. Alcohol service may be refused if guests appear intoxicated.
