A Memorable Stay Made Special by Outstanding Service- Hyatt Regency Kathmandu
I had a truly delightful experience at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu. The staff and overall service were excellent. A special mention goes to Anjilla Bastola at the front desk, who was an absolute pleasure to interact with. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable—right from arranging a beautifully decorated room for my mother’s birthday, to promptly changing the cake when I realized I had forgotten to mention her allergy to chocolate, to arranging transport and handling every other request with ease. Her attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. The ambience, food, and services were all outstanding, making our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu, and it will definitely be my first choice on future visits. Kudos to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality!

This is the best experience I had in such a long time. The whole Team did a speculatar job from Regency club . A big shotout to Aastha to provide such spectular service. We would definitely be visiting again for sure.

Home away from Home
One of the most comfortable stays I have had in the past few years. Hayatt made the experience memorable. All staff at the hotel were helpful and professional.

Kathmandu Hyatt Regency
Urmila was outstanding in the breakfast area always knowing what we needed and providing the food and drink day to day. I appreciate how hard Urmila worked for us. I also thank the rest of the breakfast staff including Rajash and the bell desk people, Kasir, Vinod and Yeshpal for always helping and assisting us.

Amazing Hyatt at Kathmandu

Must stay! Hyatt Regency has a resort feel and excellent location close to international airport and tourist sights.
Loved the property, excellent staff. Enjoyed the Regency Club, great view and space to hangout. Short 7 minutes walk from side gate of property to Baudha Stup simply marvelous!

Awesome Experience
One of the finest hotels in Kathmandu with the best front office staff and Chefs on board. The restaurant team and the front office team is ready to go to any limit to satisfy their guests

Real Nepal vibe
A beautiful property that gives you the real essence of bricks royalty and humility There’s something about the Hyatt Regency here that holds space like Nepal itself does — regal, but not boastful. The red-brick façade, the quiet poolside breeze, the ever-kind staff… it reminds me how luxury doesn’t need to be loud.

Good food but Run down hotel/ AC does not work.
It is a run down hotel with an old casino and dysfunctional room amenities. The good part is the casino is right on the entrance yet it does not disturb your stay. However, The AC did not work in our room. Food is good. Spread was amazing , though I asked the chef to make upma for my child but he couldn’t get it right. Tried twice.

Hyatt Kathmandu
The Hyatt hotel at Kathmandu is great place to stay if you are visiting the area, the location is close to the main city just 15 minutes. The staff is extremely accommodating. The only issue i faced while on the property is the Wi-Fi not always working well

Good Stay in Kathmandu
Hyatt Regency - Kathmandu The hotel is very grand with extensive lush gardens in the center of town. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom had a bath which we appreciated. The hotel obviously struggles with maintenance due to its age, threadbare carpets parting at the seam…but charming nevertheless. Our suite 417 had very heavy lime scale deposits around the faucets, the creaky shower hinges were covered with limescale and the shower head was clogged and needs a limescale remover soaking.The sink need re-enameling. They also have a serious pigeon problem, as our exterior window ledge was smothered in bird droppings which was disgusting (the droppings can have a fungus, Cryptococcus which can cause serious breathing difficulties….the Hotel should address this issue.) The public facilities in the lobby need a good cleaning the stalls on the Men’s floor edges are encrusted with ancient dirt and grime, they all need a good “power electric wash” and hinges were loose with missing screws, not a 5 Star standard. We enjoyed their Sesame Restaurant which had a good Al A Carte Menu and Buffet, their Italian Restaurant - Rox was a delight for dinner one night. We also enjoyed their lobby bar where we had pre-dinner cocktails and extensive nibbles. The staff were all very pleasant and eager to please , a good stay.

Wonderful property with a gracious, welcoming and helpful staff.
We had three separate stays while touring Nepal and Bhutan in May. All of the staff at the Hyatt Regency Kathmandu were very welcoming, friendly and professional in meeting our needs. When they discovered that my wife became ill on our 3rd stay they were very helpful and empathetic in helping her to be comfortable. It seemed that all the staff that we encountered at the hotel were asking about her condition and wishing her the best. Our room itself was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The Hyatt Regency Kathmandu became our home away from home during the 3 weeks we were touring Nepal and Bhutan.

Great staff and good location - BUT Rooms & Bathrooms need attention
Hotel has lot of green well-maintained landscape and it is wonderful for taking walks. Location of hotel is good - walkable distance to main stupa and other attractions like Thamel. Staff is good and courteous to needs. Special kudoz to the staff of Sesame - Bhakta and Jhapad were polite, attentive and prompt in their service. They ensured we enjoyed the food and time at the restaurant. Rooms are very old and need urgent attention. Rooms need to be renovated urgently. This includes various bathroom fittings, etc. This is where value for money is lost.

Best place to stay in Kathmandu
This hotel has been built in a traditional Nepali style, inside out. The interior decorations and the rooms follow the style. It is also not too far from the airport. The club service and restaurants are very good. Overall, it is probably the best place to stay in Kathmandu.
