A True Second Home in Addis Ababa My experiences at the Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa have been exceptional, and after spending well over a year at this property during my work travels, I can genuinely say that it has become a second home whenever I am in Addis Ababa. I have absolutely no complaints—only sincere appreciation for the property, its location, and, most importantly, its people. The location is excellent and extremely convenient, particularly with the easy commute from Bole International Airport. During my most recent stay, I also had the privilege of experiencing Meskel and Irreecha, which made my time in Addis even more memorable and gave me an even greater appreciation for the culture, traditions, and hospitality of Ethiopia. I would like to give special recognition to the Regency Club team. Mizan, Mekdole, Yabsra, Atesde, and Selam consistently go above and beyond to make every stay comfortable. Their professionalism, genuine care, warmth, and attention to detail are remarkable. They have an incredible ability to anticipate needs and make you feel welcomed and valued every time you walk through the door. Their service truly represents what exceptional hospitality should be. I also want to recognize Ms. Genet Kidane, Guest Experience Manager. It is always a pleasure to encounter Genet. She is compassionate, professional, gracious, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests have a positive experience. She is truly a blessing to this property and represents the very best of Hyatt hospitality. The dining experiences deserve equally high praise. The Kitchen and The Oriental consistently provide outstanding service and exceptional food quality. The attention to detail, professionalism of the teams, and quality of the cuisine make both restaurants experiences I look forward to during every visit. I would also be remiss not to mention Fliliklik, who provides the authentic and traditional Ethiopian coffee experience at the front of the hotel. She is always kind, welcoming, and passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for Ethiopia's traditional coffee culture. Her enthusiasm makes the experience much more than simply having a cup of coffee—it becomes an opportunity to connect with and appreciate an important part of Ethiopian tradition. After more than a year of staying at the Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa for work, I can say with complete sincerity that the people are what make this property special. The professionalism, warmth, compassion, and genuine hospitality consistently make a demanding work trip feel much more comfortable. Thank you to the entire Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa team for making this property feel like home. I look forward to returning every time I have the opportunity to be in Addis Ababa.

Great hotel, close to the airport, which was great. Clean and professional services. The gym is well eqquiped and also clean.

Best lap pool in East Africa. Breakfast buffet is extra special. The vast array of plants,trees and gardens make the place feel so special!

You can't go wrong with the Hyatt regency. The staff is super friendly and the rooms and amenities are great! I am a regular here and there is a reason i keep coming back.

Hyatt Addis is the best place to stay in the city, dare I say the country. It is by far my most favorite hotel. From the spacial design to the friendly staff, the quality of food, service, experience, it' all so enjoyable! The restaurants you can frequent as a guest-- The Kitchen, Oriental, Marcus Addis, or the entertaining spaces like Fendika for live jazz and cultural shows to Cascara with the live DJ, to the many spaces to lounge, enjoy a cup of coffee and the rooms that are so well kept and that bed-- the comfiest bed! It was amazing. I also frequented the spa regularly 10/10 do recommend and made some stops to the gym and pool too; both lovely. I also grabbed flowers, snacks and gifts from their shop easily/quickly downstairs for family. And one more time for the staff that makes you feel like family. They anticipate your needs, provide every accommodation, genuinely care if you are enjoying yourself and make it their jobs to make sure you do. I extended my 4 night weekend stay to 2 weeks because of them. Finally the prime location-- truly in the heart of the city. It is easily walkable to key attractions, easy for friends, family and chauffeurs to locate you, on the main Bole road and easy commute to most other key regions. Hyatt Addis truly has it all, a one stop shop. It's more than a place you lay your head, you should also build in some time to enjoy this state of the art hotel too. I can tell so much in intentionality went into making it so great and keeping it excellent.

My family had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Their great service really made the experience feel special and enjoyable. I truly appreciated how helpful and accommodating everyone was. The front office staffs are exceptionally amazing and very accommodating. The concierges go above and beyond to satisfy our needs. the securities are very welcoming and professional. The traditional coffee ceremony post was my families favorite spot, thank you for the two awesome attendants. The hair stylists in the spa are so incredibly professional. Breakfast was amazing and with lots of verities. The kitchen staff wend above and beyond to take care of my 9 years old daughter which was so nice of them. All the wait staff, really amazing, thank you thank you. Shout out to the GM who go around the table at the restaurant to make sure we are satisfied. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent hospitality!

Flawless. The check in experience was as expected with very helpful staff I would like to aprreciate Feryal Mohammed who played a very critical role in assisting with rooms and amenities and went out of her way to make sure me and my guests were satisfied. She was very conversant with the hotel and our requests which made our stay great.

Beautiful and clean rooms. Shower worked perfectly with good water pressure , toilet was secluded from shower and had own door always my preference.

We naturally had high expectations when staying at Hyatt, but there was something truly special about the atmosphere at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa. We noticed it from the very beginning, from the security screening and check-in process to the concierge personally showing us to our room. Every member of staff we interacted with during our stay was genuinely eager to help, and they made us feel exceptionally welcome. The staff appeared confident, comfortable, and empowered in their roles. Because the experience felt so distinctive, we asked a few questions about what made it different. We were told that Hyatt Regency genuinely lives its values. Strong leadership focuses on employee growth and development, placing greater emphasis on guest experience than on rigid procedures and protocols. Staff are encouraged to be themselves and to treat guests more like friends than customers. This approach is clearly visible throughout the hotel and creates an extraordinary guest experience. We believe that employee engagement and staff loyalty are exceptionally high at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa, and the positive impact on guests is evident in every interaction. Beyond the outstanding service, we were especially impressed by the hotel's architecture and layout. Although the property is sizeable, it maintains an intimate atmosphere, feeling like a true oasis amidst the bustle of the city. The art and décor throughout the hotel are absolutely magnificent. The hotel also looks very well-maintained.

Exceptional service from check in to check out. By far the best hotel option in Addis for long and short term stays. Absolutely no complaints at all, stuff is amazing and many thanks to Tsion for the warm welcome and smooth check in and out. And special thanks to Mrs Genet for making certain that my experience was nothing but impeccable. This woman is the epitome of great customer care. Even on her days off she still made sure I received the help I needed. I’m beyond grateful for the entire team here at Hyatt Regency Addis.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa. The hotel has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, with clean and comfortable facilities that made the stay enjoyable. What stood out most was the quality of service. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. I would especially like to recognize Batiru at the reception, who was extremely resourceful and always willing to help. He became my go-to person whenever I needed assistance, and his support made my experience even more memorable. The food and beverage experience at The Kitchen was also good, with attentive service, good food quality, and a comfortable ambience. My only suggestion would be to broaden the menu variety by offering a better balance between Ethiopian cuisine and familiar international options, as guests may want both local flavours and meals they are used to. Overall, I had a positive experience and would be very likely to recommend Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa to family, friends, or colleagues visiting the area.

Great place, close to airport and major resurants in the city. Good for a business traveller. I bet it must be good for holiday visitors too

My favorite hotel in a favorite part of Africa. I think its pricing is very high compared to competitors (it's charging US equivalent rates not Ethiopia equivalent rates)
