Specific Health and Safety Measures:
Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa is committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in an effort to ensure our colleagues and guests enjoy a healthy, safe and comfortable environment.
Guided by its purpose of care, Hyatt recently announced a multi-layered Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment to further enhance its operational guidance and resources around

Some specific health and safety measures currently in place at Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa include:
- On-site PCR test will be arranged for guests, based on request.
- Colleague certification and trainings for hygiene and cleanliness
- Increased frequency of cleaning with hospital-grade disinfectants D-10 on all high-touch surfaces, guestrooms and shared spaces
- Implementation of enhanced food safety and hygiene protocols for restaurants, room service and group meetings and events
- Prominently placed hand sanitizer stations throughout hotel public and employee areas and entrances
- Exploring purification and sanitization device installation in an effort to ensure enhanced air quality
- Protective masks and other equipment for hotel colleagues
- Physical distancing guidance in public areas across hotel properties
- Key operational management team live on-site and available 24/7 for assistance, if needed

Physical distancing and all hygiene guidelines are observed during guest transportation.
We have mobile key access through the guests mobile to access entry to his/her room and avoid using physical keycards.
Guests are handed a welcome amenity pack containing hand sanitizer and disposable mask
A hotel nurse is on-site and there is a clinic on-site.
CPR machines are on-site, one in the front office and one with the nurse.
Guest Rooms:
Guestroom housekeeping services are provided every third day during a guest’s stay. Please know that periodic safety and well-being checks in guestrooms will still occur. If you prefer to receive full daily guestroom housekeeping services, please let our front desk team know.
All high touch points in the rooms are to be cleaned and sanitized, with a “sanitized” sticker placed on them after cleaning.
All in-room messaging is paperless, digitized and displayed on the television.
Employees cleaning the rooms discard protective masks and gloves after cleaning each room.
The cleaning of rooms to be done by two separate teams, a clean team and a soiled team to reduce the risk of contamination.
One set of gloves is used per room.
Engineering:
Backup generator that can run for five days
Backup diesel on-site totaling 25,000 liters
Backup water in a 400-meter cube that can run for three days
IT Capabilities
Fiber optic line with capacity 150 MB
IPTV in each room
Wi-Fi speed 150 available in the hotel. Speed can be increased at an additional cost.

Food & Beverage:
- QR codes leading to venue menus and sanitized, PVC-covered menus for those who would prefer physical menus
- Our very own hygiene manager on-site to ensure all hygiene measures are adhered to
- Introduction of a clean and soiled team as well in all lounges and restaurants
- No self-seating in all our lounges and restaurants (seating guests by hostess) to ensure physical distancing
- Water bottling plant on-site, as hotel is a plastic-free property
- Total of five on-site chefs with expertise in varied cuisines
Fitness Center:
- We recognize maintaining a regular fitness and exercise routine is often an integral part of our guests’ stays, and our fitness center is open 24 hours daily.
- We have enhanced fitness center maintenance to include a dedicated fitness center attendant, who will continuously maintain and clean all equipment 24 hours a day.
- Pool is heated.
Pet Policy:
Our hotel is pet friendly. Bring your cat or dog. We will familiarize you with the areas you can walk your dog around the hotel.
Fees
There is a $50 surcharge per room, per night, for pet accommodations. Hyatt Regency will provide food and water bowls.
Weight Limits
Weight limit of 22 kilograms/55 pounds with a maximum of two dogs, if combined weight is 35 kilograms/75 pounds or less.
