Great Location and Service
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The attached shops were super convenient and reasonably priced. No need to bring any food or drinks at this hotel.
Good location, service, and amenities.
The Hyatt is conveniently located at the Berri-UQAM subway station. The parking is secure and easy to get to. There is a very nice grocery store attached to hotel. The swimming pool and workout are were clean and fun to use. There are very good views of downtown Montreal from the higher floors. It was worth it to us to pay a little more to get the view.
Quick trip to Montreal
Hotel location was good as it is a direct taxi ride from VIA Rail station. Room is comfortable, clean and suited myself as I was travelling with my elderly mother. Access to Montreal Metro station extremely convenient as is access to many food locations. Staff was very attentive to our needs and any information needed with regards to local attractions. Would return again to Hyatt in the future for accommodations.
Noise
Beware if your room next to the stair. If somebody running up and down at nighttime, there is no sound insulation You will be wake up by the sound running on the stair.
My home away from home!
I have used this hotel regularly for the past year. It is clean and has all the amenities you would need and the staff are friendly.

Great Hotel in a Sketchy Neighborhood
Hyatt Place Montréal Downtown is a fantastic hotel. Well staffed and professional. The breakfast buffet is very good and the rooms were well appointed, clean and very very quiet (28th floor). If you have no plans to visit the surrounding neighborhood this hotel is great. Wander a bit around the outside of the hotel and it’s a bit disturbing. Homeless, drunk and drug addicted people across the street and sleeping around the outside of the hotel at night. Actually this seems to be a very big problem all around this side of Montréal as this was in your face wherever you went. Honestly this is no fault of the Hotel, but it’s very sad to see.
Great Place to Stay in Montreal
Wonderful stay here in September! Yummy breakfast with a good variety of things, helpful staff and clean rooms. Also, a great location to explore the city.
Wonderful getaway with friends.
Location is convenient to public transportation and Old Montreal. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well maintained.
Great hotel in a great location.
Great location. The hotel set over the metro station making it easy to get any place in the city. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Friendly staff, great breakfast and location location, location!!!
We were greeted by Simon at the front desk. He was very patient with the slew of questions we had about the area. He gave us good suggestions and helped us with directions to a couple of the spots. Our room was pristine! We loved the views from our room too! We could see so many great sites from the room. The best part was being walking distance to just about everything we wanted to do in town. The breakfast has a small fee but well worth it. Not only is there so much to choose from the nice people working were amazing. The coffee was actually good too! Over all our experience shows us that there is an amazing team here and everyone works so well together. The Hyatt Place Montreal is what hospitality is all about. Thank you! we WILL be back!
Wonderful downtown stay.
Wonderful stay. Two queen beds. Lots of lights. Refrigerator and espresso machine. Iron and ironing board. Wonderful breakfast.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Great front desk staff! Very clean. Amazing pool and sauna area. Location is ideal off of St. Catherine St and close to Berri-UQAM subway station (can get anywhere you need to go on a family trip with kids). The location did have a lot of unhoused individuals in the parkette in front of the hotel. No issues- just an FYI as this should be expected in a downtown urban center with our existing mental health, addictions and housing crisis.
Nice Hotel and Location, Staff needs to be more friendly in interactions
The hotel is Modern, well-maintained, and clean. It is in a very convenient and central location. It is close to the Metro, so you can get around easily. The staff felt a little sterile in their interactions with me and not very personal. The exception was housekeeping, who took very good care of the room and fixed an issue when I pointed it out. If you are a Hyatt member, don't expect them to acknowledge you or offer you your benefits; I had to ask for them. Also, the Shop and Snacks are extremely overpriced; go to the IGA next door unless you want to get soaked
Horrible Stay without AC
The AC did not work and when called reception, the guy simply told me: "can't do anything". I was shocked! Never staying here again!
Awesome
Great customer service and housekeeping service. Prime location, mini mall atyached to the hotel was very convenient. Very clean everywhere. Highly recommended.
Elegant place to anchor you stay in MTL
I love Montreal and visit often. This hotel is my favourite. It’s elegant and practical and the city view rooms are top shelf.
Good location
Good location. I can everywhere. Staff were all accommodating. Food shopping is right beside the hotel. In the heart of the Gay Village so there's an event all the time.
Very disappointing stay
I had an unresolved issue with my room rate and charges, and the hotel’s response was disappointing. I also witnessed another guest being trapped in the elevator twice for more than 10 minutes each time because his access card was not working properly. Afterward, he chose to use the emergency stairs because he no longer felt safe using the elevator. Instead of apologizing, the front desk manager Alice criticized him for using the stairs. Poor customer service and a serious safety concern. I would not recommend this property.
Great stay!
I requested an early check-in, but because the hotel was sold out that weekend, I was told on arrival that early check-in wasn't possible at that time. I understood and decided to walk around the area a bit. After about an hour, I returned to the hotel and waited in the lobby for a little while. One of the young ladies working the front desk approached me and acknowledged my waiting. She was finally able to accommodate my early check-in. I wish I knew the names of the two girls who helped me — they were very kind. The hotel was clean and modern, including my room. There were a few missed areas in the room that could have received a little more attention to detail, but overall I was happy. I had a wonderful nighttime view of the city and the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The metro was across the street and it was a reasonable walk to Old Montreal as well if you enjoy sightseeing on foot. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Montreal.
