Love this hotel and staff they do such a great job of keeping it up and have such a great attitude. Very consistent with each stay.
If you are in Blacksburg this is the place to stay.
This is a great place with great accommodations. The staff is always pleasant and helpful and the rooms always meet or exceed expectations. Location is central to everything and a lot in walking distance.

We stayed at the Hyatt while visiting Virginia Tech. The proximity was directly across the street, walkable to campus. Location was great with many restaurants nearby. We walked to PK's bar for dinner. This was the first hotel that acrually had the pull out sofa premade with sheets and blankets which was a huge plus for us! Will definitely return.

New/ updated hotel in a great location and great staff. Breakfast was perfect for our trip. Bar was very convenient. We will return.

Clean, comfortable, convenient
close to campus, settled among lots of restaurants. Clean, convenient, nice public areas (5 of us going over documents - very comfortable).

Great Hokie Hotel
Great hotel and staff! Loved the noon checkout and the hot breakfast. Our room was large, updated, and clean. The location was great too. Only a few minutes from our Hokie and walkable to restaurants.

Better choice
Better than expected, and this hotel is better than the other similar hotel from other brand, like residence inn or Home2suties.

One of the best places in Blacksburg, for VT move-in
Cleanliness: top-notch Staff attentiveness and accommodation level: very high, they do solve issues and are happy to do it Air conditioning: VERY efficient ( bit too much) Parking: adequate and easy (chargers available too) Breakfast: very good, variety limited, great coffee though Sharp and help-ready staff. Pristinely clean hotel and environs.

Very nice room across the street from VT
We stayed here for college move-in. Super convenient to VT and we walked to dinner. The only issue is prices are jacked up for big weekends - but...I get it - supply & demand. Just wanted to leave my $.02 fwiw. :) Wonderful hotel - nice, clean and friendly. I LOVED that I could check in online and add the key to my digital wallet. We walked right in the door and to the elevator to our room. Very nice room with 2 queen beds and an l-shaped couch. Will def stay here again.

Location, location!
The biggest positive about Hyatt Place Blacksburg is location, location, location both to Virginia Tech and my daughter's off campus apartment. Nice that breakfast is included even if it is fairly basic -- was happy they had fresh fruit included. The bed was softer than I remember last time I visited -- not a fan of soft beds but the overall facility is nice.

Great location and atmosphere. Staff is awesome very attentive and helpful. Right next to VT campus. Restaurants, shopping close by. Convenient and easy to locate.

Basic & functional
My son and I stayed one night while in town for VT orientation. I'd stayed in VT's hotel and wanted to try someplace new; Hyatt Place was highly rated. It was okay. It's your average 3 star hotel. It was very clean and felt safe. Parking was convenient. The staff was helpful and service was quick. I workout daily and found the gym to meet my needs, even though it did surprisingly get crowded in the evening. The room is a little worn and dated, which is no issue for the price during low season (~ $133 with taxes). However, I have heard that when VT has major events, all the local hotels double, triple, or quadruple their rates. I understand supply & demand, but I would have a meltdown if I paid $300+ for the room we were in. The quality of the room and amenities (water, quality soap, shower cap, qtips, room safe) simply are not offered. I did appreciate the included breakfast. Although I didn't find any food that caught my eye, my teen son went back for seconds.

Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel. The only reason not a 5 star is the breakfast. While there was a lot to choose from, the "hot" items were actually cold. Simple fix. . .turn on your warmer tables where you put the "hot" stuff.

A Great Hotel to complement your stay in Blacksburg
Excellent location and atmosphere! Hotel is clean, weight room maintained, staff kind and attentive, breakfast had high protein low carbohydrate options. Considering most hotels their coffee is excellent and they have real half and half. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Bathroom is well appointed with grab bars and plenty of towels.

College Tour
In very close proximity to VTech’s campus and multiple restaurants. The room was large, and had two queen beds and a full size pull out couch. It was perfect for families.

Great place to stay.
A great hotel. Clean and updated. The staff are very nice and always helpful. Great gym. Breakfast was good each morning. It’s a perfect place to stay if you want to be in the center of activity for VT.

Very Nice Hotel and Very Quiet
I stayed here for a multi-day conference across the street. It was easy walking distance. Many nearby conveniences. Parking was a little crowded, but I was able to find convenient spaces during my stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Overall, I would highly recommend this facility if you need to stay in this area.
