Everything was wonderful. Being a Solo female Traveller, safety is first on the list..which I felt. The staff was amazing, beautiful room with a view of the ocean and lake.

We came for my friend's birthday and Grand Hyatt Rio did not disappoint. They gave her a nice birthday dessert upon arrival (Thanks Alex!!) and while we dined at Cantos. Breakfast was fresh and the omelet station was great. The spa services were wonderful and our rooms were clean/ gorgeous. Fernanda at the concierge helped us make reservations and order food to the hotel. She went above and beyond. Our lagoon tour was amazing the biologist was a wealth of information and the driver got us close enough to see a capybara! We attended a caprihinia history class with Yuri @Yuri_Carv.bt and Djalma @Djalmajuniorcreative . We learned so much and the drinks were delicious!! The group fell in love with Rio and we will definitely be back.

Great hotel, in a wonderful position in front of the sea. Great for business meetings and conferences, high quality services and food. Really enjoyed my stay.

Had a visit in January for just 3 days as first visit to Rio and then Sao Paulo. This visit was ten days and it could not have been a better experience. Very much enjoyed the Grand Club Lounge for breakfast and happy hour....great views from the exterior seating and wonderful staff. Room with the balcony was great option for some quiet kick back time but the having both pool and beach for tanning/swimming was fantastic along with the food/beverage service at the pool and the volleyball nets and balls at the beach. Fitness Center was first rate and got four great workouts in over the ten days to help balance all of the delicious food consumed! Spa was over the top experience for two great massages, a 50 and then even better 80 minutes, both followed by time in steam room and sauna and then a great shower. There are some great restaurant options within a 5 minute walk and then more on the other side of the lagoon just a 10 minute uber away. The beach was fantastic for pure relaxation with Grand Hyatt lounge chairs and umbrellas. Facility, staff, and location were all perfect for a self-indulgent getaway. And the GIG airport just 35 minutes away by uber. Definitely want to go back for another such stay! And the weather in August was great even though technically "winter" in Brazil. Lots of sun and warm temps and great getaway.

The was amazing — the views were absolutely beautiful, and all of the staff I encountered were friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady at the front desk of the spa. Unfortunately, the main area of concern during my stay was the room service experience. On one occasion, I ordered two well-done burgers, but they arrived cooked medium to medium-rare (picture attached). After taking a bite, I immediately felt unwell. I called down to report the issue, and while the replacements were cooked correctly, it was disappointing to have the first order prepared incorrectly. On another occasion, I ordered salmon with mashed potatoes for lunch. The mashed potatoes arrived freezing cold, and since there was no microwave in the room, I had to request a replacement of rice instead. By the time the rice arrived, my salmon was also cold. The only other stressful point was housekeeping never bringing washcloths to the room when they cleaned it. When I was running short on time, I had to wash with hand towels. The only way they bought washcloths is if I called down and specifically requested them which was very inconvenient. Overall, the hotel’s location and amenities were beautiful, but the quality of the room service and housekeeping fell short of expectations. I wanted to share this feedback.

The property is located in new areas facing the ocean. Its a wonderful location. One can enjoy the beach right in front. Modern amenities provided. Excellent upkeep. F&B service is top rated across the restaurants. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

This is one of my favourite hotels. Good rooms, good facilities and very pleasant staff. I always look forward to arriving.

The experience at the hotel was exceptional. My room was amazing. My oceanfront balcony was amazing. The staff was amazing. The beach in front of the hotel was exceptionally good. The staff at the beach was amazing. The nightlife about 1 mile away was amazing. Uber rides were safe and inexpensive. The restaurants were amazing. 10/10 experience. Thank you

Very good hotel. I always enjoy staying here once I am through the rather slow check-in process. The location is great; good, clean rooms; wonderful breakfast; good gym; lovely soap; and I like the capybara statues in the lobby of the hotel.
