Sakoo Grob Naatang

Crispy sago crackers with mildly spicy prawn dipping sauce

Ingredients: Sago cracker, Shrimp Chili Sauce, Coriander Root

This dish is modified from Khao Tung which was a popular dish in the era of King Rama XI. During that time, people found a method to preserve the rice by basking it in the sun then deep-fried. At Market Café by Khao, we reinvented by using sago instead of rice. Sago is boiled in butterfly pea-infused water which gives a pleasant color. The deep-fried sago is served with the spicy prawn dipping sauce.

Gaeng Runjuan is a spicy clear soup that has a good smell from sweet basil and Thai herb, seasoned to perfection with shrimp paste. The highlight of the soup is Thai Wagyu Beef sliced which is tender and flavorful.

Som Chun

Assortment of seasonal fruits in bitter orange syrup topped with crispy condiments

Ingredients: Rambutan in Syrup, Snake Fruit in Syrup, Longan, Young Ginger, Fried Onion, Bitter Orange, Sour Green Mango, White Sugar, Pandanus Leaf

This ‘Som Chun’ dessert menus is not a fruit, but it is the name of the ‘Loi Kaew’ menu, a traditional Thai dessert from the era of King Rama II. Market Café by Khao is delighted to bring this traditional sweet and refreshing dessert back to present days. Our "Som Chun" is prepared using the original recipes from the old days with snake fruit, rambutan, lychee, pomegranate and young ginger slices all soaked in syrup overnight. ‘Loi Kaew’ must contain a mixture of zesty orange which gives a unique scent and garnished with fried shallots. It may sound strange with this combination, but once you taste it, you will be fascinated.
