This ‘Som Chun’ dessert menus is not a fruit, but it is the name of the ‘Loi Kaew’ menu, a traditional Thai dessert from the era of King Rama II. Market Café by Khao is delighted to bring this traditional sweet and refreshing dessert back to present days. Our "Som Chun" is prepared using the original recipes from the old days with snake fruit, rambutan, lychee, pomegranate and young ginger slices all soaked in syrup overnight. ‘Loi Kaew’ must contain a mixture of zesty orange which gives a unique scent and garnished with fried shallots. It may sound strange with this combination, but once you taste it, you will be fascinated.
