Spring into Yoga with Janice Liou, March 21, 2019

Welcome the first day of spring with a morning of wellness and self-discovery.
On March 21st, join us for a special spring yoga session with guest instructors Janice Liou (YTT 500 certified) and Arina Negishi (RYT 200 certified). Held at the 51F of Andaz Tokyo, begin with an invigorating 30-minute beginner flow to energize the body and mind with Arina, followed by a 2-hour fully integrated flow with Janice designed to connect the body, mind, and spirit.

Location: Chef’s Studio on the 51F
Time: 9:00 – 12:00
Price: JPY 5,000 for 2 lessons
*Includes bottled water, yoga mat rental, towel rental, changing room space, after class smoothie and small goodie bag.

9:00 – 9:30 ~ Rise and Shine Flow with Arina Negishi
-Switch your body to active mode with a morning routine designed to awaken your body through interlocking breathing and movement. Beginners are also welcome.

10:00 – 12:00 ~ Discover Within with Janice Liou (All Levels)
-Discover Within – This uplifting, intelligent yet accessible class is raw, playful and powerful as we journey from the outside in. Experience a fully integrated flow (offering both modifications and advanced variations) that calls for a higher conscious connection within - uniting body, mind, and spirit into one. This practice is designed to illuminate discovery of the inner teacher that resides within each and every one of us, liberating our creative freedom for the discovery and expansion of endless possibilities within you and your life.
*Participants may choose to attend both lessons or only the 10:00 – 12:00 lesson.

*Both classes include instruction in English and Japanese.
*Due to limited space, please make sure to reserve in advance.
*In the case of too many participants, attendees will be chosen on a first come first serve basis.

About Janice Liou:
Based in New Jersey, Janice discovered the benefits of spiritual practice in 2007, and is now a YTT 500 certified international yoga/movement instructor. As a teacher, her goal is to empower her students by illuminating their self discovery. Her classes are Vinyasa (flow) based with influences from Ashtanga, Hatha, Dharma, Yin yoga, and various other yoga techniques. Janice teaches regularly in studios across New Jersey, New York and recently online. In the past 2 years, she has been sharing the benefits of yoga internationally, holding workshops in Bali, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and other destinations around the world. Andaz Tokyo is pleased to welcome Janice for her 1st class in Tokyo.

With a background in classical ballet, Arina encountered the power yoga when living abroad in Singapore. After acquiring her RYT 200 certification in Bali, she is now active as a yoga instructor at YES TOKYO yoga studio teaching lessons in English and Japanese.

For the next edition of our popular Andaz Salon, Andaz Tokyo is pleased to welcome Mr. Tetsuya Nagata, the renowned artist behind the intricate washi paper artwork adorning the hotel’s elevators walls. Welcoming guests to the hotel since our opening in 2014, motifs of celebratory fish, blooming flowers and Japanese symbols of luck have become iconic to Andaz Tokyo. On March 22nd, we invite you to learn about the history, craft and inspiration behind the art at what promises to be another unique and captivating Salon event.
