Koki Beach Park

Leis are traditionally used to celebrate all occasions in Hawai‘i. In this class, you will learn how to make a lei by twisting green ti-leaf (lau kī), one of Hawai‘i's most traditional style lei. Ages 6+. Participants 6-18 must be accompanied by an adult.

For your lau kāpala, a vegetation stamp, choose from a selection of native Hawaiian plants, such as kalo (taro) and loulu (palm). Our activity instructors will teach and guide you as you create a personal card to take home.
