We had a wonderful experience at Hotel La Compañía del Valle! The property is beautiful, with a relaxing atmosphere, excellent facilities, and great attention to detail. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. A fantastic place to relax and spend quality time with family. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning!

After staying at Hotel La Compañía in Casco Viejo, I genuinely didn't believe the experience could possibly get any better. Well, I was wrong. La Compañía del Valle took everything to an entirely new level! We arrived in El Valle de Antón after experiencing the frightening earthquake in Panama City. Unaccustomed to earthquakes, we were understandably shaken and desperately needed somewhere to unwind, feel comfortable, and regain our peace of mind. What we discovered was nothing short of extraordinary. There is something almost indescribable about this property. The beauty, the tranquility, the atmosphere, the energy… everything comes together to create a truly magical experience. It is a sanctuary of relaxation, elegance, and absolute pampering. The staff were exceptional, making us feel genuinely cared for from the moment we arrived. Somehow, they transformed what had been a frightening experience into one of our most beautiful and memorable escapes. Words and photographs simply cannot capture the essence of this place. You have to experience it to understand it. We left feeling so relaxed, reassured, and rejuvenated that we even found the confidence to return to Casco Viejo! La Compañía has mastered something truly special: not just luxury hospitality, but the art of making people feel wonderful. Absolutely unforgettable! ❤️

Amazing scenery, great and friendly staff, unique sculptures and delicious food. Location of hotel in the bottom of old volcano gives it special touch.

La Compañia del Valle is the sister property of La Compañia in Casco Viejo, Panama City. It's a recent remake of the previous Los Mandarinos, a property which was in desperate need of refurbishment. El Valle de Anton is a cute and increasingly popular town in the base of an extinct volcano that blew its top eons ago. For Americans, think of Crater Lake National Park with a town on the floor of the caldera rather than a deep lake. I loved La Compañia in Casco Viejo because of its design highlighting aspects of Panamanian history. The El Valle version is equally attractive because of the amazing art both inside and outside of the buildings. Quirky sculptures and modern wall hangings adorn the entire property. My room (a second floor pool view with balcony) was somewhat small but very comfortable. Individual HVAC units were quiet and effective. Service is friendly and mostly polished. Two dining venues, Tiempo and Terra directly adjoin the lobby, while Fuego, the high end restaurant, is located in a separate building on the property. Overall, food quality is very good, but there are some hits and misses, suggesting that the kitchens haven't fully matured. There are three areas for improvement: 1. The gym is located in a small building on the other side of the pond and gazebo. There is no air conditioning, and moderately large windows provide cross ventilation that, unfortunately, still can't mitigate the heat and humidity. Working out is difficult at any time other than early morning. 2. The "blue" pool invites lap swimming; but, the color and lack of markings on the sides and bottom make swimming virtually impossible. It's all to easy to slam into the wall. 3. The narrow road leading to La Compañia is treacherous because of its uneven grade and numerous deep potholes. One almost needs a high clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle to safely arrive at the hotel. Overall, La Compañia del Valle is a delightful property that invites relaxation and is certainly a great escape from the hectic vibe of Panama City.

Such a great place. Luxury and quality. Great for family and/or a couple. The spa was amazing. The grounds are absolutely stunning.

The resort itself is truly wonderful, with a beautiful setting and a fantastic overall experience. However, it’s a shame that the level of service does not always match the quality of the property. There are noticeable differences from one server to another, and overall, there seems to be a lack of training, particularly when it comes to hospitality and service standards. A more consistent approach, with stronger training and clearer standards across the team, would make a significant difference and bring the service up to the level the resort deserves.
