Everything was top notch, from the front desk, to housekeeping to the meals at the restaurant. We felt like we were staying in a European hotel.

Wonderful stay - highly recommend.

The hotel is a beautiful and well restored and maintained piece of history. With this comes inadequate elevator service during peak traffic times as only two elevators service the hotel floors. The staff were friendly and efficient though we didn’t ask for much. You will also need to haul heavy bags up the stairs whether you use the front or side doors.

We booked the room as an upgrade for a larger room and it turned out to be a huge box with a view of the 12th floor atrium lobby, which alternated between feeling like a tomb, to a yoga class with an instructor calling out moves, to a family whose children liked to run around shouting. I called it my “cell block”. The fact that the room was facing inside wasn’t disclosed during booking and by the time I realized, we were unpacked. I was really disappointed as I’d wanted to watch the sights and sounds of the city where I was born, on my birthday weekend.

The room itself was reasonably comfortable and room service was efficient. The nespresso coffee was tasty for hotel coffee and the waters were a nice touch. I was quite cozy in my cell block.

I booked parking using SpotHero and it worked out really well. I didn’t need to move the car at all during my stay, or I would have had to pay again. Also, another wait for an elevator ;-) as is the trip to the Sporting Club, which is a huge plus and was another reason we booked the hotel.

I’d stayed here once before using Hotwire, before the renovation, and had a beautiful corner suite. So this time it just felt like a regular hotel and for the price, nothing special. Might or might not stay again.

Nice hotel, nothing special perfect

The Bellevue Hotel had a recent renovation and the rooms are well appointed and super clean. The overall design is also very nice. There’s also an atrium on the 12th floor that’s beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel. My only regret is that we were only able to stay one night.

Great stay at the Bellevue

Charming boutique feel with personalized attention.  Conservatory is lovely space to relax.  Fascinating architecture perfect for history lovers who want to experience a classic Philadelphia hotel design.

Front desk, bellhop, and housekeeping staff were responsive, cheerful, and proactive.

Excellent location close to high end shops and dining.

Immediate access to theatre district.  

Easy walk to wide range of neighborhoods and dining and shopping options.

Subway access right out the front door.

Charming boutique hotel in perfect center city location

We stayed at the hotel because we attended a wedding there. It exceeded our expectations! Wonderful location and the hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious and clean and had all the amenities that you would need. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful Philly experience

A wonderful hotel in a prime location, beautifully decorated with a rich sense of history. The staff were professional, friendly, and very helpful. The sporting club is also world-class. We had a fantastic time at the Bellevue Hotel.

It is the most beautiful hotel I have stayed

The hotel was beautiful, however we had a specific room request which they didn't meet, which I was okay with as it was already 4pm and we wanted to get in the room w/ our special needs child.
Then we called guest services for Water and Utensils and they came by with water and no utensils; stated they would return and never did.  I ended up having to go to Pergola in my PJ's to pick up my utensils.  At that point, I was turned off as they didn't provide the level of hospitality I was expecting for a $500 a night room.

Sub-Par

I used my amex hotel credit  for an overnight girl's trip to see the Christmas sights. The location is very conveniently located. We walked to Reading Terminal Market, Love Park, Dilworth Park, and Rittenhouse Square. We spent a few hours at the sports club and it's well worth spending part of the day there. We swam and used the hot tub and sauna, had the free coffee. The food at the Pergola is very good. The staff is very helpful and polite

Great overnight get away

Beautifully restored hotel with pleasant and helpful staff and nice amenities and great fitness center.  Central location was excellent.  Pergola restaurant gets overcrowded at breakfast and waits for a table can exceed 45 mins on weekends and holiday periods.  Overall, good value for classy accommodations.

Lovely Hotel

Beautiful hotel, delicious breakfast and lovely staff! Stayed at the Bellevue during a visit to the Holiday market. Jen and Maryann at the front desk were charming and really everyone I encountered (including other guests) were delightful… will absolutely return!
