Environmental Sustainability
Caring for the planet is a natural extension of Hyatt’s purpose—to care for people so they can be their best. Below are specific examples of environmental stewardship at our hotel.
Overview
Sustainability is at the heart of the daily reflections of the various departments of the hotel, whether it is the support functions, our teams in the kitchen, or our room service that works only with eco-labeled cleaning products.
Using the Hyatt EcoTrack tool, we monitor our sustainability indicators, including those related to our gas emissions, energy consumption, water, waste and recycling actions.
Label Clef Verte
- We are proud and delighted to announce that our hotel has been awarded the Green Key label.
- We are committed every day to reducing our carbon footprint, preserving natural resources and promoting environmentally-friendly practices. Obtaining the Clef Verte label, the first international environmental label for tourist accommodation and catering, developed in France by the Teragir association, testifies to our commitment to offering a sustainable experience to our guests.
- As a hotel, we are proud of our commitment to sustainability, and grateful to our customers and partners who support us in this endeavor.
Waste and Circularity
- All our departments work to reduce their waste and plastic use, and strive to sort and recycle their waste (70% of our waste is recycled).
- Liquid cosmetic products are in large refillable bottles.
- In the meeting rooms, water is only offered in carafes.
- We do not use plastic bottles.
- Most of our soft drinks have a deposit system with our suppliers (returnable glass)
Our Food Philosophy
- Our Chefs strive to work with local producers selected directly by themselves.
- We try to respect the seasonality of the products to the maximum.
- Our fishes come from sustainable fishing.
- The meats of our restaurants are 100% French.
- We offer vegetarian options (including a full menu).
- Our teas and coffees are 100% organic (excluding decaf) in our outlets and inside our room.
- 27% of our wines are organic.
Carbon Emissions and Water
- 100% of our rooms are equipped with double glazing to reduce the need for air conditioning and heating.
- The hotel has opted for 100% LED lighting, as well as water-saving facilities throughout the hotel.
- A recovery service is carried out daily, but we only replace sheets and towels after the third night, unless expressly requested by the customer.
- Our heating system recovers the heat from our cooling unit.

- The Hôtel du Louvre is ideally located in the heart of Paris, and is served by various public transport options such as the metro (Palais Royal), buses and self-service bicycles (Vélib').
- Our location in the heart of Paris allows our guests to discover some of Paris' most emblematic landmarks on foot, such as Jardin des Tuileries, Louvre Museum and Opéra Garnier, all just a few minutes from our hotel.
