As part of this commitment, we have established a Sustainability Committee, named the Green Team, whose role is to educate colleagues on sustainable practices and propose new initiatives to minimize our impact on the environment.

Climate Change & Water Conservation

At Park Hyatt London River Thames, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices throughout our operations. To minimize plastic waste, we provide recycled glass water bottles in our guestrooms for reuse across the hotel. Energy-efficient LED lighting and smart sensors in rooms help us conserve energy, while our laundry systems reuse rinse cycle water to reduce consumption.

We actively monitor key sustainability metrics—such as greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and recycling—through Hyatt EcoTrack, our global environmental management platform. Guests are encouraged to join us in these efforts by reusing towels during their stay. Additionally, our daily operational reports allow us to optimize heating and cooling schedules, ensuring efficient resource use without compromising comfort.

Waste & Circularity

We embrace a zero-waste mindset in all areas of our operations. We have eliminated plastic straws, offering eco-friendly alternatives made from bamboo or cacti upon request. To reduce single-use plastics, Brita hydration stations are available on every floor, and mineral water bottles for meetings and events are provided in glass rather than plastic. We also minimize packaging for takeout and in-room dining and encourage guests to use mobile entry through the World of Hyatt app, reducing the need for plastic keycards. For those using keycards, convenient return boxes are available in the lobby for reuse.

Our commitment to paperless meetings is supported by digital signage, and we maintain a full recycling program that efficiently removes waste based on material type. Waste is segregated into clearly labeled containers and collected in line with sustainability processes and procedures.

Responsible Sourcing

Park Hyatt London River Thames’s culinary philosophy is guided by a commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing. We select ingredients that are better for people, communities, and the planet. Our hotel-operated restaurants use cage-free eggs and offer coffee sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms. We prioritize seafood from responsibly managed sources and, wherever possible, purchase organic and locally grown produce.
