The classic film "The Third Man" was filmed in Vienna in 1948. Today, visitors can follow the trail of Harry Limes on a Third Man Tour through the sewage system, on the Ferris wheel or at the Third Man Museum.

When it opened in 1913, the concert venue was one of the most modern buildings in the city. It does not only offer theatre plays that change daily, but also hosts social events such as balls, conferences, dinners, company presentations and celebrations.

The gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral at Stephansplatz is the landmark of Vienna and over 163 metres high. In addition to sightseeing and the cathedral treasury, concerts can also be enjoyed here. Top tip: From the tower, you have a wonderful view over Vienna.

Albertina not only has one of the largest and most valuable graphic collections in the world, but also presents masterpieces of classical modernism with its "Monet to Picasso" exhibition collection. Albertina is the largest residential palace of the Habsburgs and sits at the southern tip of Hofburg on one of the last remnants of Vienna's bastion walls.

Donauinselfest (Danube Island Festival) takes place annually at the end of June in the 21st district of Vienna on Danube Island. With around 3 million visitors, it is the largest music festival in the world and has thus earned an entry in the book of records! National and international artists are spread across several stages and themed islands. The range of music is wide and includes a variety of schlager hits, rock, Austropop, alternative, hip hop and electronic music.

Prince Eugen of Savoyen had the baroque ensemble built as a summer residence. It consists of the Upper and Lower Belvedere, separated by an impressive landscape garden. Today, the buildings house important art collections, including the famous painting, "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt.

Hofburg in the city centre was once a winter residence of the imperial family and is now the official address of the Federal President. There is a lot to see with the imperial apartments, the Sisi Museum, the Spanish Riding School and the Treasury.

The world's first house by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser breaks with many architectural conventions and is unusually colourful, in some places uneven, and green – an architectural highlight.

The city's largest shopping street accommodates not only 178,000 sq m of sales space, but also history. Mariahilfer Straße was already a popular shopping street at the time of the imperial monarchy.

Among other things, the National Library contains all the prints published or produced in Austria and was one of the largest in the world during the Habsburg period. The grand hall is particularly impressive.
