I stayed at The Tribune Hotel, part of JdV by Hyatt, and here’s how it went: What I like: - The room was clean and well maintained. - Good transit access: a bus stop is ~5 minutes away. - Taxis are convenient, especially at night. - Friendly and attentive staff - Top roof restaurant with nice views Caveats: - The room was small, and the layout made using the coffee machine awkward (very limited counter or free space). - Some of Rome’s most common attractions are 20+ minutes walking distance, so walking isn’t practical for many days out. - Given the room size and the hotel’s location, the rates felt a bit steep compared to alternatives with more space or closer proximity to key sites. - Restaurant service was rather slow Overall impression: If you’re okay trading walking convenience and room space for a quieter hotel and decent transit links, The Tribune is a fine option. But if walking to major attractions or getting more room for your money are priorities, you might find better value elsewhere.

Nice hotel, great location near a playground for kids. Breakfast was a bit pricey for what was offered but convenient. Good daily housekeeping and new waters daily.

We had a great stay at The Tribune and experienced amazing hospitality and customer service specifically from Marco and Myroslav who helped me arrange some special accommodations for my fiancés birthday during our stay. We look forward to coming back to stay at The Tribune the next time we are in Roma.

It was excellent!!!!!! The staff at the Tribune were amazing. They catered to all our needs and made our stay very memorable.

Manager Simona checked us in. We didn’t get the experience we were expecting. Our room was over booked for the 3rd night. She asked us to pay 350 euro for another room. I know it was partly our fault for booking the room for 3 people discounting our 10 year old being the 4th person. But we had always done the same without any issues, in multiple countries until we got to Rome. No one told us we had to book single bed for individual people. That was the main issue. We spent a lot of Hyatt points per each night at the hotel. We think the manager could have worked with us in accommodating us without giving us a grief about additional charges. We had to book another hotel to accommodate 2 of us at the cheaper rate.

The hotel was incredible!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing. Its in a great location with short bus or metro trip to the sites. Great restaurants around and walking distance to most things.

Room was great. Larger than expected. Very comfortable. It was modern looking with great decor. Super comfortable. The rooftop lounge was wonderful. All of the staff from the front desk to the lounge and the breakfast room were very friendly and went out of their way to provide excellent service. It really enhanced our stay.

The breakfast experience was amazing. Tons of variety for food and drinks and the staff was super attentive and friendly. The rooftop is a must! Spectacular views. The overall experience was great and I definitely recommend staying there!

The staff was unhelpful. The rooftop restaurant had mediocre quality food and poor service especially for price. The staff in the breakfast buffet could not get my order right even though i speak Italian. I have been to Rome several times and understand European hotels. This was not what I expected from a Hyatt affiliate.

Excellent location and beautiful property. The Avis budget rental is also a block away. Super friendly staff and very welcoming. From the checkin, breakfast, terrace bar and restaurant, everything was fantastic. And the view from the rooftop bar is gorgeous overlooking the park. Highly recommend!
