High prices. Limited dining. Scratchy towels. Long distances - carts available but a pain to dial up. Check in was unsat - training another and a request for a ground floor room took nearly 20 minutes for clerk to complete. When asked what was happening clearly unplussed clerk said I had to shift a lot of rooms to accomodate you. Undertaone was be grateful. Will not return.

An overall excellent experience. The staff was responsive, the restaurants were accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the other guests were respectable. I plan to return in the future.

Matress in bad condition even booking a Premiere Villa. A/C wasn’t working good enough . Front desk difficult to reach by phone, had to make mg complaint by text. Manager Carla never called back

The resort is huge and gorgeous. There’s a ton of wild life to see, which we loved. It’s very quiet and peaceful out there, very little noise. It’s got a lot of things to do, tons of stuff for kids and very relaxing for adults. It’s got a massive pool and is right on the beach. It’s only about 30 min from San Juan and close to a lot of other activity sports out that way.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The property is gorgeous, and it was so much better than expected! The rooms are so clean and have everything you could need. The food at Néctar and Prime 787 was phenomenal, and the service was top notch! The breakfast buffet had gluten free options that were very appreciated and delicious! The food in the Sand Trap, service, and the large TVs, were all fantastic! We wished we could have stayed here longer!

Really great resort. The beach has lots of seating and umbrellas. The staff there really take care of the visitors. Nanette did a great job in the Splash zone with providing lots of complimentary kids activites. My daughter joined in on the free salsa lessons and had a blast. The free kayaking was also quite nice. The breakfast area is lovely and includes lots of local specialties, which we really appreciated. Keisha did a great job in keeping the room tidy and refreshed every day. Even though we were near a pool that hosted parties with loud music, we couldn't hear the music at all within the room, which was always quiet. We really enjoy this resort and are planning on coming back within a year. You do need a car if you want to do activities off-site. We went to local restaurants for dinners and did a quick trip to the Yunque, which is a short drive away.

The most beautiful resort I’ve ever been to in the whole world. Incredible landscaping and decor and a super helpful and friendly staff.

It was my first time visiting PR, we chose what we thought would be a great safe hotel for the 3 of us females, me being the mom with my two daughters, 20 and 30 yrs old, from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. The food and drinks were amazing and more amazing was the staff, always with a smile on their faces and so welcoming. I would definitely come back here for future visits.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve is a very beautiful resort located on a golf course.. it is immaculate, well cared for and clean. The Staff is amazing! Especially the gentleman who escort you to and from your room. We stayed late September and there were few people there which made it nice. Great safe place for our mother's daughter trip. No nightly activities, shows or activities especially for children. Is a quiet relaxing place. The pool is massive. The beach is small, quant and just enough. The breakfast is delicious, a bit expensive yet usually included. A rental car is a great option to explore Old San Juan @ 30 minutes drive etc. We did not eat at the other restaurants on property as we wanted to try local restaurants nearby. La Parilla was good seafood not far from the resort. In Old San Juan-"Sugar Cane" had the best vibe, Pina Colada's and Mojitos hands down!" Relle na'o" next door has the best mafungo. And "Anitas Gelato" is to die for! I would return..

Beautiful resort with helpful, proactive staff. Loved the assortment of different activities available at no extra fee, including pickleball, paddleboarding, and kayaking.

Took a family vacation here in September, and would highly recommend it! The resort is beautiful, the restaurants are excellent and the staff is very helpful, kind, and makes you feel like they want you to be there! There are also a ton of activities and things to do: the pools were all very nice, not crowded at all, and the beach was beautiful with plenty of seating and space. The resort offers kayaks, tennis, ping-pong, kid's club activities that our son enjoyed, and more. The golf course is also beautiful if that's your thing, and very close for quick drives to El Yunque, and to old San Juan for day trips.

Beautiful resort, clean and updated rooms, love the beach feet from your bungalow. The staff were kind and friendly. We got GREAT weather despite hurricane season as well. We will be back!

What a beautiful property; it is so expansive we were still finding new areas on our last day! The pool options and areas were limitless. Lots of areas to relax, the beach front areas were perfect as well. The food options were delicious as were the drinks. The staff was very friendly, we were treated like family everywhere!

The resort is located on a resort about 30 minutes outside of San Juan. It is completely secluded, with little to no food options. The food on the resort is of course, over priced and sub par. The resort offers no entertainment for adults or children alike. There is absolutely no night life. I would not recommend an extended stay at this resort. 1-2 nights max!

The Grand Hyatt in Puerto Rico is absolutely beautiful. The property itself is gorgeous, the views are incredible, and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. My biggest disappointment was the food. For such a beautiful resort, I expected much more variety and better quality. There also need to be more restaurant options on site, especially for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions. It was difficult to find healthier options, and the choices became pretty limited. The resort has so much potential, and improving the food and restaurant options would make a big difference. Overall, the property is beautiful, but the dining experience definitely left something to be desired.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve. From the moment you arrive, the spacious open air lobby captures the relaxed Caribbean vibe. The resort offers a great balance of fun and relaxation. The main pool was among the largest we’ve experienced, with a freeform design and a center depth of more than five feet—perfect for enjoying the day. Be advised there a no lifeguards on duty. A volleyball net is available in one of the shallow areas, yet the pool is large enough that guests relaxing on the in-pool loungers at the opposite end can still enjoy peace and quiet. Pool toys and floaties are also provided for guests. The beach was clean and well maintained, with minimal rocks and seaweed. Kayaks are available as well, adding another fun option for guests. At check-in, Diorenis was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Our Amex Hotel Collection reservation and Hyatt status were both recognized. We were initially assigned a quiet second-floor room with a partial view of the garden and pond, but we asked Diorenis if a room closer to the main pool was available. Within 20 minutes, she arranged a first-floor room near the pool and sent bell service to assist relocating us. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a small bistro table and chairs. Ilianys serviced our room daily, and it was always immaculately cleaned and refreshed. She even made a bow tie out of the bath tissue, a nice touch that made us smile. The breakfast buffet offered good value, with a decent selection of food. In-room dining was especially good, even with the added service charges. The pancakes and waffles seemed to come from a different kitchen—they were fluffier, with crisp edges and the portions were very generous. Molido serves smoothies and artisan pizzas, though its location is a bit far from the guest rooms and main pool. What’s missing is a true dessert shop. One of the highlights of our stay was the sushi-making class with Chef Martinez. It felt more like an interactive chef’s-table dining experience. Chef Martinez was personable, engaging, and passionate about his craft. He demonstrated his skills to the delight of both our children and us, then guided us as we made our own sushi. Matthew served us during the experience and anticipated our needs so well that we never had to ask for anything. He was a true professional. Although he was not our breakfast server, he still made a point to check on us or simply say hello. He seemed to treat every guest he served with the same level of service. There are plenty of activities around the resort, including bike rentals, ping-pong tables, cornhole, a putting green, a mini soccer field, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. We tried the nighttime neon pickleball rally, though the balls provided did not actually glow. The pickleball court surface is plastic rather than a traditional hardcourt, but it was still nice to have the option available. The resort is conveniently located near El Yunque Rainforest, so we rented a car from a local agency to explore the area. There is a Jeep rental agency on-site, though it may not be the best value unless you specifically want a Jeep. Most nearby attractions were about 30 minutes away, making the resort’s location ideal for us. Overall, we are very happy that we chose Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve for our family vacation. The resort is well maintained and offers plenty of amenities, but it was the staff who truly made our stay exceptional. We look forward to returning next year.
