Hyatt Regency Trinidad is a modern, waterfront hotel located in the heart of Port of Spain, overlooking the Gulf of Paria. The property offers 40,000 square feet of flexible event space, the largest in the city, and features stunning waterfront dining, a sleek infinity pool, and a warm Caribbean welcome that blends business convenience with leisure luxury.
The hotel celebrates Trinidadian culture through local cuisine, fresh herbs and spices grown onsite, and locally sourced ingredients. The pastry and spa departments feature locally made chocolate, and guests can enjoy authentic entertainment such as live steelpan performances. The hotel also recognizes national and cultural holidays with themed décor and special food and beverage offerings.
The property caters to both business and leisure travelers, including groups, weddings, corporate events, and family celebrations. With its downtown location, it’s ideal for meetings by day and exploration by night.
Located on the waterfront in the heart of Port of Spain, steps from the city’s business district and cultural landmarks. Within minutes, guests can explore Queen’s Park Savannah, the National Museum, and the “Magnificent Seven” heritage mansions. The hotel is also a short drive to Ariapita Avenue for dining and nightlife, and about 45 minutes from Maracas Beach for a perfect day trip. Our Concierge team is happy to curate local experiences, from city tours to culinary adventures.
The hotel is within walking distance of Port of Spain’s vibrant nightlife. Ariapita Avenue, known locally as “The Avenue,” is less than 10 minutes away and lined with restaurants, bars, and lounges. During Trinidad Carnival, Hyatt Regency Trinidad sits right on the action, near several parade routes and event venues, offering guests easy access while maintaining a relaxing waterfront retreat once the festivities wind down.
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM (noon). Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability. Late check-out between 1:00–3:00 PM incurs a US$50 fee, and between 3:00–6:00 PM incurs a US$100 fee.
No. The hotel is not a resort property, so no daily resort or destination fees apply.
Yes. Guests can arrange luggage storage with the Front Desk, Bell Attendant, or Concierge team.

Parking, Travel & Transportation
The hotel is approximately 45 minutes from Piarco International Airport (POS), depending on traffic.
While there is no complimentary shuttle, guests can arrange private transfers through the hotel’s Concierge or official taxi service.
Guests may choose from hotel taxis, rideshare apps, or public transportation. An on-site car rental desk (SIXT) is also available for convenience.
The hotel has an onsite car rental company – SIXT. There are no bicycles for rent.

Yes. Spa Esencia spans 9,000 square feet on the third floor and offers massages, facials, and wellness treatments inspired by Caribbean botanicals. Reservations can be made at spa.esencia@hyatt.com.
Reservations for Waterfront Restaurant are recommended and can be made via OpenTable or WhatsApp at +1-868-47-HYATT (474-9288). Walk-ins are also welcome.
Yes, there is an outdoor infinity pool with waterfront views, and a 24-hour fitness center.
Yes. The pool is open daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM year-round.
