Green Key Certification
Hyatt Regency Baytown-Houston has been recognized by Green Key Meetings for executing and maintaining a high standard of environmental and sustainability practice. This certification specifically recognizes best-in-class environmental and corporate social responsibility efforts in meetings and convention facilities and practices.
GBAC Star Facility Accreditation
In addition to Green Key Certification, this property has also achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation, the gold standard for prepared facilities. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, Hyatt Regency Baytown-Houston has implemented the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention in its facilities.

Climate Change & Water
- Through our Conserve program, we change linens every third day unless requested otherwise, and guests may choose to reuse towels by leaving them hanging.
- Lights, water features and air conditioning automatically turned off when meeting and guest rooms are not in use. LED bulbs used throughout the hotel.
- Suggesting lower-impact options for centerpieces and décor, such as potted plants rather than flower arrangements.

Meetings & Events
- Plastic straws are not used. Rather, straws made of alternate material are offered upon request.
- Lights are turned on in meeting rooms only when needed.
- Our daily operational reports are used to effectively schedule heating and cooling needs.
- Supporting digital signage and offering Hyatt Apps to help enable a paperless meeting.
- Offering reports through the Planner Portal, reducing use of paper.
