Hotel Standard Policies

Check-in/Checkout timing

Check-in time: 2 p.m.

Checkout time: noon

Unless specifically specified in the standard reservation confirmation voucher issued by the hotel Hyatt Regency Thrissur. 

Family Plan Policy

Children 12 years old and under sleep complimentary in existing room beds. Rollaway, child rollaway, cribs and meals (if any) may incur extra charges.

ID Requirement

For security purposes, valid Indian Government approved photo identification with address is required at check-in for all guests occupying the room. Acceptable forms include a driver’s licence, passport, Aadhar card and/or Voter ID. A copy of the record will be made of the document at check-in. Foreigners are mandated to provide a valid VISA upon arrival before check-in.

Late Checkout Policy

Late checkouts between noon and before 6 p.m. will be charged 50% of one night’s room rate. After 6 p.m., guests will be charged one night’s room rate.

Parking Policy

Daily valet parking is complimentary for all overnight and visiting guests. Parking is at the owner’s risk. Overnight parking is available only for in-house guests after stipulated security checks. The hotel is not liable in the case of theft of or damage to any parked vehicle(s).

Babysitting/Child Care Policy

The hotel does provide babysitting services subject to availability. Please inquire with the reception 24 hours in advance. The charges for this service are INR 500/hour for a minimum duration of two hours.

Early Arrival Policy

Early arrivals before 9 a.m. will be charged one night’s room rate. Arrivals between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. will be charged 50% of the room rate.

Facility Use Policy

The use of recreational facilities, such as the pool, gym and spa, is governed by minimum age requirements. As a general guideline, these services can only be used or requested by guests 16 years old and above. Guests 15 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian. The hotel is not liable to provide safety and security for any individual and it is considered that the user is medically/physically fit and is trained before utilizing any hotel facility. Security Policy

For security reasons, all rooms will be checked once every 24 hours for occupation and usage. Duplicate keys to the guest room will not be issued without the presence of the registered guest(s), and only after the presentation of valid photo identification.

The hotel does strict CCTV camera monitoring and CCTV access is prohibited for guest viewing for any reason.

Smoking Policy

All public areas within the hotel are nonsmoking. Smoking is permitted only in smoking rooms located on designated floors or in designated outdoor smoking areas. The sale of tobacco and tobacco products to minors 18 years old and younger is not permitted. Smoking in the nonsmoking room is not permitted.

As per the notification dated 30th May 2008 issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, smoking in public places including hotels, restaurants, refreshments, banquet halls, etc., is an offense and prohibited with effect from 2nd October 2008 by law.

Smoking in a nonsmoking area or in a nonsmoking room will attract a penalty of 2,500 INR per occurrence, per person.

Interconnecting Room

The hotel does not have interconnecting rooms; adjacent rooms are subject to availability and a request should be placed at the time of reservation. Allocation of rooms adjacent to each other is subject to availability on the day of arrival.

Cancellation/ Deposit Policy

All reservations are to be guaranteed with credit card, advance payment or through company deposit. The hotel is authorised to charge no-show retentions or charges per reservation in case of non-arrival of the guest. Reservation can be cancelled without any charge 72 hours in advance of the check-in date unless specified differently in the standard reservation confirmation voucher issued by the hotel. Certain reservations are non-refundable and non-cancellable, in all such cases, a credit card is charged at the time of booking/reservation. The entire stay amount including taxes will be charged in case of late cancellation or no show.

Payment Policy

At the time of check-in, Hyatt Regency Thrissur will collect room and taxes with an approved credit card provided at check-in or an alternative mode of payment provided for the entire stay reserved. In addition to stay charges, the hotel will take a certain value of incidental charges to avoid any disruption or inconvenience during your stay.

Credit Card Policy

The physical presence of the credit card holder is mandatory to utilise the credit card at any point of sale at the hotel. The hotel does not accept cheque payments. By providing the credit card details at the time of reservation, you authorise the hotel to charge the card in case of a show or late cancellation.

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed as per the pet policy of the hotel. Please seek a pet policy from Hyatt Regency Thrissur at the time of making the reservation.

Extra Bed/Extra Person Policy

One older child or adult is charged INR 1,500 plus taxes, per person, per night in an extra bed. The maximum number of extra beds or cribs permitted in a room is one. Extra person does not include any supplement/inclusions of the rate to the third person.

Outside Food and Beverage Policy

The hotel does allow outside food and beverages to be brought into the hotel. Outside food and beverage consumption by resident guests are considered at their own risk and the hotel will not be liable for any damage/inconvenience. The same is allowed only for resident guests to be consumed in the room.

Guests are advised to take a personal driver or request a cab/taxi and are strictly prohibited to drink and drive, as per Indian law. Guests failing to abide by or not announce at the time of drinks service will be held individually responsible for failing to cooperate and mislead the hotel.

Visitor Policy

The hotel does allow outside visitors who are not registered with the hotel as occupants inside the guest room corridor or guest rooms until 10 p.m. Guest meetings and entertainment are permitted in public areas or restaurants only. Photo ID proof and extra occupancy charges are mandatory for registering additional guests.

Natural Landscaping Disclaimer

Hyatt Regency Thrissur is located in dense green landscaped land amidst the corporate financial district with a vast open area. Due to its natural landscape, hotel residents, guests and employees may face concerns with flora and fauna from time to time. Guests are requested to be aware of such aspects and take necessary precautions. In case of emergency, in the hotel please contact hotel staff, immediately.

Guest Room Usage

Storage of articles combustible or hazardous in nature in the guest room is strictly prohibited. The usage of banned products or consumption of narcotic products/drugs is strictly prohibited. It is understood that guest room usage by guests is not for any activity not permitted under Indian laws.

We do not allow poker chips/cards (gambling), hookah, firearms/weapons and flammable items inside the hotel.

Usage of Camera and Photography/Videography Equipment

Hyatt Regency Thrissur does not allow professional cameras or drone cameras usage. Photography is prohibited unless written permission is granted. Photography and commercial usage of photographs/videography within the hotel clicked at the hotel is prohibited and is subject to written copyright approvals by the authorised representative of the hotel.

Guest Conduct

Hyatt Regency Thrissur reserves the right of admission and entry of persons entering the hotel facilities. In the unfortunate event that the resident’s guests or their guest’s behavior become unacceptable and causes embarrassment or discomfort to others (guests or hotel staff), management of the hotel reserves the right to have the individual or individuals removed from the hotel’s premises.

Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

If any dispute or differences of opinion arise between the resident/guests in relation to or in connection with Hyatt Regency Thrissur, they will undertake negotiation in good faith with a view to resolving the matter. The parties here too shall endeavour to settle all disputes and differences relating to and/or arising amicably.

In the event that the parties fail to resolve any dispute amicably, the parties shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the arbitration and re-conciliation act 1996 with all modifications and re-enactment thereto as is prevalent in India. Each party shall be entitled to nominate an arbitrator and two arbitrators so nominated shall jointly nominate the third presiding arbitrator. The arbitrators shall give a reasoned award. The proper law for the purpose of arbitration shall be Indian laws, based out of Thrissur.

If any dispute or difference shall at any time arise between the client/guests relating to or arising out in relation to services and facilities offered by the hotel (whether during the stay/usage or upon or after its usage), and no amicable resolution or settlement is reached within a period of thirty (30) days, such disputes and/or differences shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thrissur only. Subject to and governed by the laws of India.
