Hotel Policies

Smoking Policy

Hyatt is committed to providing a smoke-free environment. There is no smoking allowed in the public areas of the hotel or the guest rooms. The hotel will apply a $200 + tax cleaning fee to any guest room that violates the non-smoking policy. We appreciate your consideration for other guests and ask that you immediately report any smoking in the building. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Minimum Age Policy

The minimum age to reserve a guest room is 18 years old. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in and be a registered guest in the room.

Credit Card Policy

A valid credit card must be presented at check-in. The card will be authorized for room, tax and an additional $15 per night for incidentals.

DEBIT CARD USERS: A $15 PER NIGHT authorization is placed on your card at check-in to account for any incidental charges you may incur, including but not limited to food and beverage charges. Funds will be held as pending and will be unavailable to you. Any unused authorization is released within 10 business days after check-out, depending on your banking institution.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be requested 48 hours prior to 11:59 p.m. local time the day of arrival, or a one-night fee will be assessed.

Pet Policy

Bring up to three dogs along to curl up in your pet-friendly room at Hyatt Place Sumter / Downtown. Drive nine minutes to Dillon Park to let your pet roam leash-free in designated dog recreation areas.

Fees

  • For stays of 1 to 6 nights, the fee is $100, regardless of duration ($100 total).
  • For stays exceeding 6 nights, there is an additional deep cleaning fee of $100 ($200 total).
