Better than Expected
Room was better than expected. Great service from the front desk person and overall very enjoyable stay. Would come back
Great price for a great room and good location
Very clean, nice big room with sitting area for reasonable price. Just 10 minutes from downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful. They were renovating a few things, and apologized for that, but it was fine.
Nice hotel
Very nice hotel. The lobby of this hotel is undergoing major renovations however the stall provided great access to needed areas. Clean hotel, nice staff. We would stay again!
Not my Favorite
Pros: Hotel is in an excellent location. You don’t have to go far for anything. The front desk personnel were extremely nice. Cons: Digital check in is a waste of time because you still have to go to the front desk for physical keys. You can’t use your phone as your digital key. There are no microwaves inside the rooms. That may be fine with some people, but if you’re like me and wake up at 2am wanting something to eat , you might have a problem with that. There is a microwave available to use downstairs in the lobby though. There are a few repairs that can be done. For one, a lot of the room doors, including mine, have to be pull and/pushed extra hard in order to fully close. Which becomes a problem, especially at night because all you hear is (presumably) “slamming” doors. One of the elevators also stopped working briefly during our stay. I’m not sure what happened, but it wouldn’t move from off of the 4th floor no matter which buttons were pushed. It was fix a few hours later though.

Not the normal experience
Construction going on during the weekend. Had to step over contractors walking to the elevator. The buffet area was not clean.

Ho Hum
Ho Hum , just somewhere to stay while visiting family for a couple of days. Room was marginally clean , mildew in the shower. Room was a little worn & dated . Breakfast was typical hotel fare , nothing notable .Lobby construction caused an expected amount of chaos. Overall mediocre.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent Stay
My stay was great from start to finish. The room was clean, a nice size, and very comfortable. The entire hotel — including the pool — was spotless and well maintained. The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and enjoy the area. The staff was professional, welcoming, and made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again.

Shout out to the Hyatt Place Staff
The Hyatt Place proved to be an outstanding place to stay because of the amazing staff, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out they were terrific. The knowledge of the area, to the welcoming smile and greeting each time you walked in. The staff are the best.

Very disappointed
I booked a king suite for our anniversary. When I checked in, they gave me the room key. I opened the door to our room and was met with a bed with sheets in a ball on top of it and towels were all over the bathroom. Even the toilet had a towel draped over it. When I went back to the desk, we had to settle for a double with smaller beds. Nothing else was offered to make it right.

Good staff but a broke down building
The staff is nice but the building needs a lot of renovations. Elevator was broken. Room doors were finicky. Breakfast was subpar. Customer service was pretty good!

Give them time to renovate
Hyatt Greenville/Haywood has some progress to do. The hotel was semi breaking down. The rooms are spacious, but smelled of smoke, it was all in the couch and some of the bedding. The group rate we had was decent, but the way the elevators weren't working, and the top blanket was thin and worn, the room was stinky, the couch was smelly, it felt almost like a motel. I bought plug ins to cover the smell. The breakfast lay out was a highlight. The staff were decent. No one went the extra mile, which is fine, but the vibes they gave were like they were all frustrated and tired of working there. Or at the least over the quality of the hotel.

Excellent value!
Great stay! Excellent choice for our stay for the Thomas Rhett concert at Bon Secour Wellness Arena. We were at the venue in less than 10 minutes (straight shot) and drove right into the parking garage. WONDERFUL TIME and relaxing room after. 10 out of 10!

Unsafe and not maintained
Unfortunately, this wasn't a positive experience. When we got to the room, the door wouldn't lock. The receptionist confirmed it wouldn't lock but stated the silver latch on the top that moves to bar the door worked. I explained that this would not stop an intruder from coming in and would like a new room. He told me there were no other rooms. I let him know that we would not be staying in this room with 2 children and that this was unsafe. He then went to see if he had anything available. He called to say he had another room. We gathered our belongings to make the trek downstairs to the next room. We got on the elevator, the doors closed, and we didn't move. We were stuck. The buttons wouldn't light up and the door remained closed. The doors opened up after a minute or so on the same floor we initially were on and I noticed clear tape on the sensors of the elevator. We took the stairs to get to our next room. Inside that room, I was glad to see the lock was secure, but the bathroom lights were very dim and the faucet spigot in the bath/shower was loose and falling off. I was very shocked at the condition this hotel was in and the lack of maintenance they perform on it.

A General Disappointment
This hotel is in a great location being close to eateries, the local mall and a short drive to downtown Greenville. Once we arrived, the front desk hosts were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is terribly dated and in need of a revamp. The rooms, while large and bright, were a little dank-smelling with stained carpeting, fogged windows and the bathrooms were so oddly configured, you have to shimmy between the door and toilet to get to the shower. The elevators were extremely slow and in very poor condition with one not operating at all. The breakfast was…interesting but, on the bright side, there was always water available. Booking our family reunion event/rooms was no short of a fiasco for several months and no one seemed to have a solid idea of how to book rooms under a block. Whoever Peyton and Deangelo were supposed to be in the process, they completely abandoned us. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Didn't get the room I booked and not impressed
We booked two double-queen rooms 7 months in advance and upon arriving around 5:00pm we were told they were "so full that all they had left were king rooms with a sofa bed." For one of the rooms it worked out ok, but the other room required my daughter to sleep on a terribly uncomfortable sofa bed with a thin blanket. I don't care how full you are - if I booked 2 queen rooms I should get those rooms. And it isn't like we arrived crazy late at night either. Thank God we were only there for a quick one-night stay. I was also told they would give me some points for my trouble, but that never happened. I don't know if they treat all guests like this or if it was because I booked the rooms with Hyatt points, but it shouldn't matter. The room was clean but the bathrooms were terribly cramped. So much so that there wasn't even room for a trash can in bathroom. The elevators were slow and one went down altogether shortly after we got there, leaving only one. And the air-conditioner did not work well and was annoyingly loud.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not the Hyatt Standard I Expected
I have always been a loyal Hyatt guest, which made this experience even more disappointing. Upon arriving in my first room, I discovered that the mattress was not enclosed in a protective cover and had several large red stains, which resembled blood. The condition of the mattress was shocking, unsanitary, and honestly unsettling. I immediately notified the front desk, and instead of someone coming to inspect the room, I was asked to take pictures and bring them downstairs before being moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room wasn't much better. That mattress was also uncovered and appeared dirty. At that point, I requested Lysol so I could disinfect the room myself. Rather than having it delivered, I was told I needed to come back to the front desk to pick it up. Later, when I needed additional towels, I was informed there was no one available to bring them to my room and that I should flag down a housekeeper if I happened to see one on my floor. The lack of cleanliness was concerning, but what disappointed me most was the customer service. The front desk suggested I speak with the manager, James, and assured me he would provide Hyatt points for the inconvenience. When I met with him, he seemed indifferent and stated that moving me to another room was the solution. There was no apology that felt genuine, no follow-up, and I never received the points that had been promised. I understand that problems can occur at any hotel. What separates a great hotel from an average one is how those problems are handled. In this case, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously or that my loyalty as a Hyatt guest was valued

Disappointed with this Hyatt hotel.
Disappointed with this Hyatt. Not what we’re used to with the Hyatt brand. Advertised as “renovated” but clearly wasn’t finished. Elevators were sketchy with parts that were not attached completely. Water pressure in our room sink was lacking but shower was great. We only had two towels in a room with a king bed and a sleeper sofa that states “sleeps 4”. Breakfast was the worst part. We arrived an hour before ending time and there were very few things to choose from left. Most things were empty with no one around refilling. We were very surprised with this kind of experience with Hyatt.
