A great place to stay
This is a great hotel with good facilities for a central London hotel! The quality of the food and beverages for breakfast is great and they cover allergens well. Staff are amazing especially Ana at check in and Andre at the breakfast.
A step above most Hyatt Places
Although the neighborhood is not the most attractive , this hotel is very convenient to the City, Spitalfields and Brick Lane. It’s also close to Aldgate East and Elizabeth Line While this is not a luxury hotel (nor is it meant to be), it is a very clean and well run place. I particularly like the staff who have all been friendly and accommodating My Globalist status was recognized and I was upgraded to a room with a terrace. These rooms give amazing views of the City and are perfect for a drink after a long day. Also Globalists can have breakfast in Pocketsquare on the rooftop. This isn’t always well advertised but it is also much calmer than the very busy breakfast on lower ground I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Comfortable Stay with Great Location and Helpful Staff
Comfortable two-night stay with smooth check-in and check-out, helpful staff, and a well-sized room with enough space for organisation (adequate tables, shelves and hooks). The bed was comfortable and toiletries were provided. Breakfast was decent, while the coffee was good. Convenient location near food, shopping, and the train station.

Fine London hotel for the business traveler
I really like this hotel and will come back to this one. The bed is one of the firmer and more comfortable ones I've ever experienced across my stays at various London hotels. The location is solid--15 minutes to Lloyds of London and close to train stations like Aldgate East. Also 15 minutes to Liverpool Station, Old Spitalfields Market. The service is excellent and the rooftop breakfast area is wonderful with seating outside and good buffet options. Been told the lower level has a more robust breakfast selection but never went down there. Lastly, the cost is more than reasonable for London hotel.

wonderful stay
staff at check in where very helpful and cheerful, breakfast was good although dining area was a bit cramped but did not spoil anything rooftop bar was brilliant as where the staff had a room with balcony which was really good and at night never heard any noise which was another plus,house keeping was first class big thanks to olga we found the hotel to be in a great location not far from the tube stations also plenty of buses credit to all the staff at the hyatt ( WHITECHAPEL) hopefully be back at some point soon stevie and angie

Excellent London Hotel
Excellent hotel and rooms, good service and easy location. I have to say this was the best hotel experience i have had in London for some years, good room and nice hotel.

Not worth the money
Dated and old rooms, uncomfortable bed, no plug outlets to use coffee machine and hair dryer, no plug outlets in bathroom?! I have never seen that before.

Great stay as a solo traveler
Had a great stay at London City East. Was traveling solo and felt safe walking early mornings and late nights to the tube or bus. Great value for price. With a underground station to the right and left of you easy to get around in 30 minutes or less. Room was a good size and clean, the bed was great. Would definitely stay again.

One of the best values in hotels in London!
The staff at this hotel really makes it a 5 star experience at very reasonable 4 star rates. The rooftop bar is outstanding with great views and, if you are a Hyatt "Globalist" it is also a great place to have breakfast. For everyone else the breakfast downstairs is excellent. Many of the rooms have wonderful views of the city. I highly recommend paying for a room with a balcony...well worth it! Location is definitely not on one of the finer streets in London, but I love the proximity to Shoreditch and East London. The nearby Whitehall Underground station is on the Elizabeth line that takes you straight into Heathrow.

Very good service and accommodation
Very good service and accommodation as expected from the Hyatt name. The staff were very friendly and courteous, the room spacious and well equipped. I would definitely stay again when visiting my firms head office.

Hyatt Place London East - a clean and pleasant hotel with good metro access
An efficient little hotel that serves as a great hub for exploring the rest of London. Downtown was about 20-30 mins away by Tube straightforward and simple to reach. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day.

Met needs of overnight stay
Stayed one night. Didn't eat in hotel. Overall good and helpful staff. Clean nice room. Parking to unload outside hotel difficult as red lines on road.

A calm, friendly base close to the city and east London
This is a very welcoming, calm and comfortable haven in a busy Whitechapel location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A good place to stay close to the city and east London.

Hotel was ok, the room let the hotel down.
The hotel was ok, but the room really let the hotel down. There was a constant whirring noise that was not the air conditioning unit and was only discovered at 12:30 to be the old fridge in the wardrobe and by then I was too frustrated to sleep so I got 3 and a half hours sleep in total. The wet room was awful and not made properly which meant that my pyjamas I left in the corner of the room got soaked which I had to leave in my suitcase with two laptops.

Great stay
The location of this hotel was convenient and the check in/check out process was incredibly smooth. Staff was friendly and available when needed but interactions are mostly by choice rather than by need. The hotel seemed to be on the newer side and rooms were nicely appointed. For the price point this hotel is very solid.

Lovely stay.
Great location for us and what we had planned. Super service. A spacious immaculate room with a comfy bed. Lovely rooftop bar. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment. All staff we spoke to were lovely.
