Stay for visiting family
Great location. Clean and offered breakfast. Easy to walk to all restaurants. Was also quiet. Pool and hot tub were an added benefit

It's great to hear that the pool was an added bonus and helped make your visit even more enjoyable. We do not have a hot tub at this location.

Great downtown location to park and then walk to all activities. Nice to have the included breakfast and our room was spacious.

Wonderful stay
The location was great. The view from the suite had a lovely view. The staff was really social and helpful. Was also really affordable. Check out was a breeze.

Nice, clean and roomy rooms but could use a little more attention to details.
Friendly staff, clean rooms but lacked a little attention to details. Had a poorly functioning shower head, leftover soap bar in the shower and an obvious white towel on the floor as we first walked in.

A poorly functioning shower head, a leftover soap bar, and a towel on the floor are not acceptable oversights, and we’ll be reviewing this with our housekeeping team to ensure rooms are fully prepared before arrival. Memorable
Stayed at the Hyatt to be close to Iowa University hospital to visit my brother having surgery. Other than the odd parking garage arrangement the location and stay was just what I needed. The staff was very helpful with directions to important things like gas and somewhere reasonable and close to eat. The room on the 9th floor had a wonderful view of the city and was relaxing to watch the sunset over the city at the end of a stressful visit.

Good location. Fair value. Not as neat as other Hyatt Place.
I like the Hyatt place in general to go with the family because all rooms are spacious and the breakfast is included. This one in particular is slightly below average compared with other Hyatt Place. The corridors were quite dirty (the room was fine), and breakfast was more basic than in other hotels of the same chain I have stayed. For example, the Hyatt Place in Schaumburg is cleaner and has a better breakfast than this one in Iowa City. The location is very convenient. There is a good restaurant in the same building: 401 Oak.

Great option when staying in Iowa City
Friendly staff, spacious clean and quiet room, good breakfast. We would stay here again. It was walking distance to the pedestrian mall, and many other shops and restaurants too.

The bedding was dirty. The hotel was a disappointment compared to the online website.
When staying at a hotel, at a minimum a clean room and sheets is desired. The sheets were stained and bedding dirty. We checked out a night early, but still had to pay. Very much a dissapointment compared to how great the hotel looked online.

Not clean
The room they initially gave me was the 10th floor corner room with a great view; however, when we checked the wardrobe, there was what appeared to be used men's underwear and clothes bunched at the bottom. I was told multiple times but multiple staff that I would be compensated; however, there was no follow through.

Greatest Hotel in Iowa
I came here to visit family. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. The room was clean. We even had someone come in and clean while we stayed.

Friendly staff/ comfy room
Staff was so helpful to suggest a movie in the park upon my arrival. It was wonderful.. clean room/ comfy bed. BREAKFAST had awesome crispy bacon

Great stay
Always a pleasant experience. Hotel is clean and up to date. Breakfast is good. We like the tall ceilings in the rooms and extra space.

Iowa City Though I was at a motel 6 off the highway in the middle of the Nevada desert. Your interior needs an upgrade Never again

All around great stay
The experience was amazing. We stay here whenever needing to stay in Iowa City for doctor appointments. Clean and spacious rooms, easily the biggest & best breakfast we've seen at any hotel. Heated garage, close location and pool for the kids. Beds were also the most comfortable we've had at any hotel.

Feels like staying with friends...
I love this hotel. It feels like a home away from home. The staff is so helpful and welcoming without being stiff or markety. They're genuinely interested in making sure your stay is good. There's reasonably priced parking, the rooms are good sized and the location is convenient. The breakfast is simple but just right. It's pretty quiet, too and that's a big one for me. For the price? This hotel's value is ridiculously good.
