  • Inept staff and bad stay

    Inept staff and pillows that were both dirty and so small. Front desk clerk checked us into a room after about 10 minutes of not being able to use her computer and then sent us to the top floor with keys that did not work. Pillows on the bed were dirty and are about half the size of regular pillows, so it was an uncomfortable stay. I cannot and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

  • LOOK OUT for added FEES! and Payment for 5 star reviews

    Reserved room to attend a wedding. Upon arrival [although early] was told early check in would not be a problem. After checking with housekeeping to verify that cleaned empty rooms were available, [they were] was informed it would be an "extra" $50 to check in. This was explained as "policy" and nothing could be done otherwise, I could talk to the manager on Monday. Having to pay extra for a room that was reserved, clean, and empty is to say the least outrageous. Early/late check in and out is a common courtesy at most, if not all chains we have stayed with in the past. Providing there is available rooms/times. To add insult to injury, although I was not able to reach the manager, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.....I left several voicemails, and NEVER received a return call. Was told rather bluntly on my last attempt "our manager doesn't take calls about refunds..." T take it all to yet another level....The "management" has placed a white board announcement in the lobby, proudly announcing that they will "reward" with 500 points for good reviews.......They would be much better served with providing excellent customer service as a "policy" vs a policy of charging fees for common courtesy...

  • 1 night in Wyoming stay, would definitely recommend

    Excellent hotel. Super clean and tidy. Room was perfect. Staff were very efficient and present. Coffee was excellent. Nearby restaurants were great as well

  • Customer service was the only good thing about this hotel/motel.

    I was very disappointed with my stay at Hyatt Place in Wyoming, Michigan. The king suite offered minimal sink space, and the mini fridge was unstable and did not keep items cold. The television volume was extremely low—we had to increase it to nearly level 50 just to hear clearly. The pillows were not true pillows at all, but rather rolled-up sheets made to look like pillows, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The breakfast was also underwhelming, with watery eggs, cold sausage links, and very few options overall. It would be better to dine elsewhere. Room temperature was difficult to regulate, and the shower water pressure was weak. Additionally, the light switch near the door cut power to the outlet where my laptop was charging, forcing us to leave the lights on overnight just to keep it powered—making it hard to sleep. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations.

  • High quality, affordable hotel exceeded expectations

    Beds were comfortable and room was spacious and very clean. The TV worked well for my son and WiFi was good also. Sofa bed was so good that my 10 year old asked if we could live there, ha! I will seek out this hotel when we travel to Grand Rapids again, and we do so annually.

  • No Hot Water and Damp Feeling Room

    As soon as we stepped in the room it just felt damp and sticky. Running the AC didn't help. Went to take a shower and there was no hot water. We both took showers the night we arrived and the next morning and it never warmed up.

  • Disappointing

    We paid more for this hotel than we usually would since it is one of our favorite brands, but we were disappointed. The TV picture was fuzzy in the first room we were assigned and we could not get YouTube in the second room. Bathroom area with the shower and toilet was very small and you had to stand next to the side of the toilet to open and close the door. The staff was wonderful and even let me borrow a phone charger since I accidentally forgot mine. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing, eggs were the powdered kind and sausage patties were not good. The did have some wonderful blueberries with the breakfast.
