Hotel Guest and Visitor Firearms Policy
Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown recognizes that hotel guests and visitors may legally possess firearms. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all who visit Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on the premises. Please keep in mind that the safety and security of our hotel guests and patrons is of utmost importance.
Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown prohibits firearms on hotel property.
Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown prohibits persons from carrying or otherwise possessing a firearm on hotel property, including carrying firearms in an open or concealed manner. This policy applies to all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun.
Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown reserves the right to request guests and visitors who fail to abide by this policy to leave the hotel premises. Failure to leave at the request of the hotel may result in the Grand Rapids Police Department being contacted and may subject you to further legal action for failure to abide by this policy, including trespassing.
This policy does not apply to law enforcement officers.
Minimum Age Policy
The minimum age to reserve a guest room is 21 years old. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in and become a registered guest in the room.
Incidentals/Holds
Upon arrival, the hotel will authorize room and tax charges plus an additional $50 per night for any incidentals placed on the room. These authorizations post on your account as a pending transaction. Unused funds are released after departure and are typically available within three to five business days. Damages to hotel property will be assessed and charged at the hotel’s discretion. It is strongly discouraged to use a debit card, as the authorization will place a withdrawal on the account at the time of check-in.
Pet Policy
Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown is a dog-friendly hotel. Bring up to two dogs for your Grand Rapids visit when you choose Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown. Dogs must meet criteria and restrictions. View fees and requirements below:
FEES:
- 1–6 nights: $75 pet cleaning fee
- 7–30 nights: $150 fee
- 30+ nights: Check with hotel in advance
WEIGHT LIMITS: 50 lbs each
