Minimum Age Policy
The minimum age to reserve a guest room is 18 years old. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in and be a registered guest in the room.
Credit Card Policy
A valid credit card must be presented at the time of check-in. The card will be authorized for room, tax and an additional $50 per night for incidentals.
Debit Card Users
A $50 per night authorization will be placed on your card at check-in to account for any incidental charges you may incur, including but not limited to food and beverage charges. Funds will be held as a pending charge and will be unavailable to you. Any unused authorization is released within 7–10 business days after checkout, depending on your banking institution.
Smoking Policy
Hyatt is committed to providing a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not allowed in the public areas of the hotel or the guest rooms. The hotel will apply a $250 plus tax cleaning fee to any guest room that violates this nonsmoking policy. We appreciate your consideration for other guests and ask that you report any smoking in the building immediately. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available. Pet Policy
Downtown Hyatt Place Gainesville does not allow pets except for service animals. For questions about our pet policy, please contact the hotel.

Downtown Noise
We understand that the bustling, vibrant nature of a downtown environment can become a disturbance at times for some. Whether it’s street noise or events happening outside, we have pairs of complimentary earplugs to help alleviate external noise. In addition, the hotel offers white noise machines at the front desk for guests to borrow.
Early Departure Fee
Hyatt Place Downtown Gainesville has an early departure fee of one night’s room plus tax. Departure dates are reconfirmed at check-in and are subject to a fee if changed after the check-in process is completed unless the hotel is informed 24 hours before an early departure.
