Cleaning every other day
Nobody told me at check-in that rooms are only cleaned every other day. I stayed from Friday to Sunday. On Saturday I left early for work and returned late to find my room unmade, no clean towels, and only then was I informed of this policy. They said I had to request daily housekeeping, which I find unacceptable. The room was fine on the first day, but after that it was never cleaned, and I left early on Sunday. Also, they advertise a shuttle service within 3 miles, but when I asked for it I was told they didn’t have enough staff and maybe it would be available the next day. I even asked to speak with the manager, and was told they were not available and would talk to me the next day, but that never happened. Honestly, the service was very poor.

Excellent room, excellent service.
Staff was extremely kind and helpful. Everything was clean and felt very well kept. Had an overall great experience at the hotel while having to deal with some great personal life difficulties.

Pleasant experience, but no EV charging available.
Nice, clean hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, and my kids enjoyed the pool area. Conveniently located just off I-94, minutes from downtown Ann Arbor. The only downside is that they don't have EV chargers, which hotels really need these days. I was on a long road trip with my family, and I prefer to stop at hotels that have charging options; these days, a hotel without EV charging is a big minus for me.

My Home Away from Home Whilst Visiting Ann Arbor- go Blue!
I am a Michigan alumnus and return to A2 each year for the Ann Arbor Art Fair. This property is my home away from home during these times. Manager Amario is a credit to the property and very attentive. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is always hearty, savory and good!

Nice Rooms, but Broken Elevator
Nice rooms, but one of the two elevators was out of service for our entire stay. Other guests said it was out all week. Do not understand why a premium hotel brand would not be able to get an elevator repaired in a reasonable time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review of your recent stay at our hotel. Feedback such as yours assists us in improving our service and property. We do understand how frustrating it can be to have to wait long periods of time for the elevator. We did contact our service company and had the elevator looked at as soon it went down. Unfortunately, due to damage caused by a minor power outage we were informed that repairs would take weeks, because of custom parts that need to be rebuilt and replaced. We truly do wish there was a way we could have expedited having the elevator back in service, but we do plan to have the issue resolved promptly. We apologize for the inconvenience during your stay and hope you consider staying with us again during your next visit to Ann Arbor.
Delightful stay!
Beautiful and clean hotel, well maintained! Great location, easy access to highway and about 10 mins easy drive from Ann Arbor Downtown and University of Michigan. Tyra checked us in quickly, she is friendly, thoughtful, professional, made us feel welcome. Other staff we met at the hotel were also nice and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast, love the berries!

Very Nice but Nearly Inaccessible
The hotel itself is perfectly acceptable, even on the nicer side. The drawback is that it is nearly inaccessible when approaching from the north on State Street. The only legal way to turn around is nearly a mile down State Street.

Room was clean and ready when I checked in. We arrived hours before check in time and we were allowed to check in early. Breakfast is what you’d expect. Staff was friendly. Beds were very comfortable.

A tired hotel that lacks comfort.
I have been staying at this hotel for eight years since I have a family member at the university. The hotel has always been just fine, nothing great, but a good enough place for a night or two when visiting U of M. My most recent stay, however, was different. The hotel has tired over the years. The rooms are damp, they are not cleaned daily, and the pillows are uncomfortable. The staff is nice, and are good at customer service, and the price is right. We didn't have the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. But I definitely won't be staying there again given there are newer options in the area that I'm sure are more comfortable.
